i saw another thread here asking people what os they used and no one talked about Temple OS, i realize its not practical at all for normal day uses but does anyone use it as a hobby or for something specific?

Although you can use templeos with internet nowadays, I believe it is only used as a hobby.

People don't actually like its creator Terry Davis. Despite all the praise, Terry was nothing but a joke to them. He was laughed at, ridiculed for being mentally ill, and was constantly getting harassment by stalkers and doxxers on the internet like K*w*f*rms. He never got the help that he needed. Those people the reason why he ended up committing suicide. fuarrrk modern-day internet culture.

He never would have. Medicine is maim and drain, it's incapable of helping anyone with anything, by design. They would have drugged and brain damaged him, that's it. A talk therapist would have churned prodded and fuarrrked his mind till he couldn't function.
There is no "help" on Earth, especially the west. I hate that phrase you just uttered with every fiber of my being. It's so many layers of dumb it's like where do you even start.

I just wish I knew how bad things are I'd have let him stay with me for at least a little bit and tried to help if I knew he was homeless. didnt follow close enough I guess

I like the idea of a modern C64, but I never actually bothered programming with TempleOS.

No matter your stance on psychiatry, you have to agree if Davis were given Anti-psychotics, his life would have been considerably better. Those anti-psychiatry types like to critisise modern medicine a lot, but it's a matter of fact that most people who take those drugs (in particular for psychotic illnesses like Bipolar and Schizophrenia), end up in a better position, than without them. This doesn't account for extreme cases. Psychosis often tends to get worse over time, as well as very hard to get rid off, when it has been acute for years. It isn't even a case, where you'd said it's like 'pest or cholera', because in most cases the damage done by the medication is clearly preferable to the damage done by psychosis, short and long term.

If Terry had taken his meds we wouldn't have TempleOS.

many only started "liking" him after his death
>>79907
you're just being pessimist. many people become adequate because of therapy

>many people become adequate because of therapy
do you mean schizophrenics that don't try to kill themselves because of psychosis anymore?
