When my friend first downloaded mint onto my laptop he entered some stuff in the terminal so that certain sites would be blocked, now I want to add more sites to the list but can not figure out how to do it and when searching for the /ect/hosts file I can not find it. Does anyone know how to do this? I am desperately in need of help.

You had enough ability to find this website, but can’t input a text into a search engine or chatbot? Gosh, guys, I thought you were cool and OP in doing everything.

Dont stop searching for /ect/hosts, i'm sure you'll find it soon.

OP, this should have gone in the general questions thread, but the actual file you want is /etc/hosts, not /ect/hosts. The T comes before the C. Make sure you open it as root (use sudo if you have to) because you can't edit it as a normal user.
