Is Lunduke right for hating on Gnome? Are they really as corrupt and consumed by politics as he makes them out to be? I've read a few of his articles and don't think that they're especially corrupt compared to other companies in the same tech space. https://lunduke.locals.com/post/5691475/the-gnome-5-year-plan-diversity-equity-inclusion-nonexistent-powerpoint-slides https://lunduke.locals.com/post/5613959/gnome-publishes-annual-report-still-losing-money https://lunduke.locals.com/post/5572069/is-the-gnome-foundation-going-to-go-bankrupt-in-1-year https://lunduke.locals.com/post/4743147/gnome-foundation-hires-professional-shaman-as-new-executive-director-lundukes-big-tech-show-o(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST, You should always elaborate on your opinions rather than just spilling the soykaf.)

Guys like Lunduke are paid agents. You see politicians are savvy now. They realize you have many niche demographics online. So you pay a guy to infiltrate those places and start complaining about things (some legit some not so legit) and then they bring up politics and push narratives that just so happen to align with those politicians, activists, and pundits. Pay a guy to head into some Warhammer community or whatever. Pump money into his YouTube channel. He starts making video essays and reviews, gains some following. Now he starts making videos on how "woke ideology" or "right wing extremism" are ruining the Warhammer community, finds every little thing to nitpick maybe poke at a legit grievance or two. Boom. >>78627 >You do realize most infliuencers and pundits are on somebody's payroll right? Its not schizo to suspect a guy pushing narratives is getting funding from someone. Follow the money trail anons. I think the sentiment is roughly correct but too simplified. Another motive people can have for endorsing someone else's narrative is there own personal power/influence or grift. By buying into someone elses claims, you gain credibility with their audience, and by extending them you can gain influence. This is easiest seen in moral panics or conspiracy theories. Take UFO/Alien stuff. Why do some of these guys endorse each others claims? Because their is money involved? Because someone is behind this movement? Or because I can grift your audience too and bring attention to the ecosystem if I "Yes AND ...". I wonder how much of this is simply exploring larger doubts and fears in new ways. Maybe influencers innovate by applying existing fears and narratives to new spaces.

It's a huge part of the human condition that has been mostly swept under the rug in the movie business (probably because most of the writers are atheist). However, including a gay character doesn't automatically make a movie preachy and turning your logo rainbow colored for a month doesn't automatically make you an "ally". Quite a lot of gay people see right through the pandering, but they also see through the "concern" that some people have about it, since all too often behind closed doors that "concern" turns out to be outright hatred.
