New distro fren aka the one who made these threads

Where will you be posting your updates now that FC is gone? This is really untimely.
I will copy and paste an excerpt of the original post in order to bring some context.
>What is the difference between this and every other Linux distro?
We're going to focus on a few things other distros don't bother with.
>More powerful init system than systemd/runit/openrc (we used s6+66) which allows for multiple configurations on different ttys. A very powerful feature not found on any other distro
>Windows and other proprietary software support: Run all your games and applications via wine or VMs using easy to use GUI. Hardware passthru for retards
>Sane desktop environment; Your grandmother can use the distro if she's familiar with old school Windows or Apple computers. Advanced users can use keyboard driven shortcuts or stick to WM-only interface on another tty
>Build all applications from source or use binaries with a simple switch in GUI. Can mix and match from source and binary applications
>32-bit application and hardware support
>Real-time kernel for audio/video editing. Media focused OS for content creators. Multiple kernel options with ability to build kernel from source code if you want
>Various cancerware like polkit, udev, dbus and others disabled in default config or worked around. Fully featured desktop environment without pulling in half of the systemd repo
>Extra repos for things like old Windows software that will allow you to download and install preconfigured wine bottles and VMs for your legacy software needs. No more tracking down .dlls and mucking around in the CLI for hours.

I wish I knew. It's pretty mysterious to be honest.

Your "distro" can be implemented in gentoo by creating a custom profile (allows you to disable udev, polkit, dbus etc globally without requiring user configuration) and overlay, all generic packages would work out of the box from gentoo repo, custom kernel is just one extra config file, maybe worth making an ebuild for it in overlay, and all you need to do is maintain s6 + packages that depend on daemon support of s6 in your overlay. What's the benefit of making a new distro for something so niche?

I'm not the developer. In the archived thread, he explains how getting his desired results has been far more involved than it might appear at first glance.

So it is just... Artix with a GUI for pkgconfig?
>you can use different shells at the same time
I don't see how that would be useful but it works on my *ubuntu anyway

Doing a whole new distro just for this seems like kicking whales down the beach, hald of this is already acomplished by other distros, about windows software it would be better to just start packaging and uploading then on a torrent site like johncena141 did for Linux Games

honestly, I would just do a post-install script (similar to LARBS) that does the things you listed. You can target something like Xubuntu or something.

name. your grandma can't say "I'm using gentoo" to her neighbor because that can mean anything
probably why there are so many distros that are "based on"
another benefit is having to prove nothing to be the boss.
just my 2c

Certainly wasn't a honeypot when you could freely use VPNs and/or Tor to post. There were some great effortposts there, it will be missed.
