Seems like a question for the Tech Questions thread here: >>73499
That said, it seems like your disk image may be corrupted somehow. Try redownloading the .iso, then check the sha256sum hashes of the file against those posted on the website.
You can do that on linux with this command (replace the bracketed sections with those from your file):
`echo <SHA256SUM OF FILE LISTED ON WEBSITE> <FILENAME> | sha256sum -c`
Best of luck, anon.

You shouldn't actually use Kali Linux as your daily driver because Kali was always meant to be booted from a flash drive. A better alternative would be Xubuntu or Linux Mint. You can still play around with Kali with the LiveUSB environment.

It seems like this is a known issue in Debian [0][1], which Kali is based off of.
As >>76311 mentioned, you can simply boot Kali from LiveUSB if needed.
Otherwise, the instructions here[2] may be helpful:
cat << EOF > /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://http.kali.org/kali sana main non-free contrib
deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security/ sana/updates main contrib non-free
EOF
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade # get a coffee, or 10.
reboot
This updates and upgrades the distribution packages. It may solve the issue you're facing. If not, post the exact error messages you're getting.
