Anons, what keyboard do you use on your mobile devices, and why?
I would like to know since I started to worry about my privacy.
I found out that a few years ago, Swiftkey (from Microsoft) had a problem with data synchronization, which caused a lot of personal information to be exchanged with other users (emails, passwords, etc).
If you have any suggestions for secure keyboards, I'd really appreciate it.

I just use the HHKB. Fits in most bags that'll carry a laptop, not especially heavy, and all around a great keyboard in my haughty opinion.

been using unexpected keyboard for a while, functions good enough, is open source and secure(doesn't log anything) and has extra keys for desktop like functions(ctrl, shift etc.), but doesn't support glide typing or any other "extra" features. if you put in a few minutes to customise it, it's a pretty okay looking keyboard.

Good for using termux. Ideally just get a soykafty bluetooth keyboard if you want to do real work. Don't worry about total mobile privacy if you are still using an android.

I never bothered looking into alternative software keyboards. I used BlackBerries until the 3G sunset then fell back to a Galaxy S10 I had lying around and upgraded to a Z Fold 3. Ever since I lost physical keyboards I've just been using Samsung's stock one.

I have a Geyes foldable keyboard. It works great when you're sitting at a table, but it kind of is like kicking dead whales down the beach if you're in a chair or bed, because it doesn't hold the telescreen to the keyboard and it's got hinges, so it sort of flop around.

Hacker's Keyboard (Android).
Can ctrl+C|V, & etc. multi-press hotkeys...
optionally displays in Dvorak
Arrow keys for precice navigation.
Works like a regular keyboard.

I use just the standard AOSP keyboard, mainly because it's lightweight and it has the legacy "holo" theme from before Android 5.0.
If you'd like to use it with the holo theme, you'll have to extract the APK from a GSI or something. The LineageOS version on APKmirror has dropped the holo theme for a "Material You" option that frankly looks hideous.

Years ago, I downloaded Gboard for the backgrounds and i stuck around with it still today. I know it's dubious, but the only reason i keep it is for the slide gesture controls. I can conjure up words really quickly by sliding my fingers to the letters no problem. Otherwise, I have the Unexpected Keyboard installed from Fdroid just in case I need some obscure symbols that aren't on the Gboard.
If anyone knows a good alternative keyboard with a similar slide controls I would love to hear it.

airgapped gboard (thanks graphene).
it's pretty and just werks, probably don't do this if you have gms running on the same profile/sandbox as gboard though. who knows, maybe gms having internet access makes airgapping it irrelevant

Hacker's keyboard
But if you're actually worried about privacy you would stop using android altogether
