I think customizable dial is a great feature and it makes the watch so versatile. But i don't use my phone much and i don't have an active lifestyle either. Maybe fitness apps and navigation features would be great but i really don't need notifications on my watch

I dont have a smartphone so its all kinda academic to me. Watches like this seem to be everything about a smartphone but more so, more inescapeable, everpresent, in your face. So if you have a smartphone anyway, why not ?

to be honest i like having a dumb watch so i can avoid getting drawin into my phone when i need to know the time. if my watch were sending notifications and soykaf id be loosing so much more time to distractions

I have a pinetime. It's nice but not amazing. The firmware is open source and easy to hack on and updating the firmware over Bluetooth is a lot easier and more reliable these days than it was a could years ago. Battery lasts over a week before needing a recharge.

I keep notifications on because checking them on my phone is more likely to suck me into the phone than checking them on my watch.
