got my barely-used Pocketbook 301 for about 18 USD about a year ago and im so happy with this reader. It's 15 years old but it is still the best for reading books and web articles. The only problem is outdated rss is not working anymore so i have to save web pages manually before loading it to the reader. The battery lives for 2.5 months (!) between charges in my case.
if i had money i would buy an e-ink screen to work with texts, a double-screened smartphone with an e-ink on the back, and a color-e-ink tablet to draw at.
but as long as we can get a simple e-reader for no money we are living in the future.

Looks nice! I'm glad you're happy with it! Usually when people ask me about e-readers (because I use one regularly) I recommend the Kindle Paperwhite, which you can get off ebay for <$50, then I help them root it and scrape off jeff bezos' spunk. I figured out a way just by fiddling with combining steps for freeing other versions. I like them because they're mostly water proof, simple in design, easy to make apps for, cheap, and easy to free. The internet says you can't free a 5.6.1.1 paperwhite but you can!
