I don't really care about wayland and flatpak,
never used wayland but flatpak seems fine so I don't really see the issue outside of only installing graphical apps and I don't feel like reading that big ass thread about wayland. may someone give a pros and cons for either of them so I can have a more developed opinion on it

try doing some research into it and then giving us your view of things to check if it's correct. That way not only do we not think of you as a spoon feeding cunt but we can better gauge the kind of response according to your level of knowledge. For example, this response already took more effort than your entire thread, which is a very bad sign, i would watch my back if i were you.

for Wayland:
I can see why having a new protocol that's a bit more preformant compared to the dino of xorg but I think it'll sort itself out as wayland gets more popular as there are computers that don't have it either can't get it because their computers are so old (they'll be ok) or don't want it (there are gonna be volunteers to maintain it). So xorg seems like a sinking ship but by the the time it sinks fully everyone will be on lifeboats. Personally I won't use it for now but I can switch and not be so affected by it.
for flatpak:
it's somewhat flawed but it's a good solution

Don't be so lazy. You should have both scanned the threads and used ctrl+f.

Flatpak: https://flatkill.org
But to be honest, Flatpak is great for distributing proprietary software.
Wayland:

I was motivated to do research, mainly on wayland stuff and stated my opinion here >>72797
reading the posts it does seem to support what I said about Wayland. For flatpaks they're largely fine but I prefer appimages as they aren't made by red hat
