BACKDOORS IN MONITORS I seems that monitors now, which are solely manufactured by Chinese companies are backdoored. THIS ISN'T SMALL NEWS WAKE UP. They do this by the simple principle that you can turn an LED into a camera: http://web.archive.org/web/20221203065401/https://www.analog.com/en/analog-dialogue/raqs/raq-issue-108.html. I found a picture that trips up the eye tracking built into each pixel of the monitor (they use this for stuff like spoofing your bank account, spoofing the antivirus software, etc). When you look at the cross in the center, it paints blue dots, but when you look at the moving blue dot, it disappears. This is clearly just an unwanted side effect of the malware but it can be used a simple test to check if your monitor is backdoored. I tested this on all four LCDs in my house, including a TV and phone. All are backdoored. I'm in the process of sourcing myself a CRT and then they will not be able to spy on me anymore. Good luck and stay safe.

>anti-China propaganda, the thread. Purposefully spreading misinformation, ie. that an optic illusion is somehow evidence of malware, and using it for the american rhetoric setting the stage for global war. Younreally think people are that stupid?

>>68218 Not so sure. How could you Fit a digital optical sensor onto a tiny LED light AND Also have it work when it's turned on?
Miho Iwakura · 2023-03-26 16:08
>>68225 You don't need an extra optical sensor, the LED itself can work as one. Take an led and measure it's voltage with a multi-meter, you will see a small voltage increase when you shine a light onto it. You _could_ (maybe? I'm not even sure) theoretically do this with an LED panel, but I don't know why you'd want to, just backdoor the "smart" capability that's in every TV now.
Yuki Nagato · 2023-03-26 16:17
OP, even if "dumb" displays were somehow collecting data, they have no internet connection to exfiltrate it. What people should be legitimately concerned about is "smart" displays and "smart monitors" which have built in "apps" and wifi. Samsung and LG displays have both been caught connecting to open wifi networks to phone home without the user's consent. People who are concerned about privacy should avoid buying displays that run any sort of software outside of basic firmware for OSD functions and maybe a USB hub.

I don't give a fuarrrk. If you want to not be backdoored just stop using computers period.

>>68254 I think the chi ese are spying on me, but only when both my eyes are open. I guess there's some sort of eye tracking going on like OP says. Terrifying, I guess Ill move to a screenreader now. Thanks for the info!

>>68229 I don't think an LED alone can do that. What about when it's turned on? Won't that mess with the optical information it receives? Also for it to be able to produce accurate optical data it would have to not be used to produce graphics or have an additional circuit for that.
Chan Siu Ming · 2023-04-01 11:18
>>68277 >it would require an additional circuit why do wh*te people actually think this shyt? because youre a lazy fucc and cant accomplish anything when it requires overcoming a hurdle? so you think the attacker is like that too? just what were you thinking? this is like when i tell someone not to put an open page where you can just run arbitrary queries on the database and he replies, "well the attacker would have to find that page (/debug)"

>When you look at the cross in the center, it paints blue dots, but when you look at the moving blue dot, it disappears. that's a very well-known optical illusion, it's called "disappearing dots". >you can turn an LED into a camera it's completely dumb to compare a photodiode, that simply produces a very small current when in contact with light, to cameras. even if you put a lot of them beside one another, the contrast wouldn't be very good, since LEDs aren't proper photodiodes, they just can kinda act like one. nothing to see here, lainons, just another troll thread. move along.

>>68218 speakers in reverse polarity becomes a microphone and it amounts to just the drivers flipping that in a PC. LED and solar panels have similarity that you can even make solar panels emit energy but not to the point it can record data even for monitors. then there's also the thing with wifi/bt, beamforming/locate/location aware wireless tech can not only locate where the other device is but also "echolocate" by listening to its own reflected signal and these data could be simulated. THOUGH the image you attached is pretty dumb. what you're seeing is the inverted color of the stark red color in the screen. you can look at the same image in still and look over a whiteboard and you will see the cyan blue color. the soykaf is actually in the cable or the entire case. your cables also leak the analog or digital signals (though hdcp is a thing), it's also possible for the monitor itself to be leaking things from another channel like I could give you a wired keyboard that has a wireless module attached to leak your keyboard inputs as "high pitched sound". CRT only makes it more possible to be exfiltrated with VIEWPLATE and NIGHTWATCH. the issue though? there's more. mmWave allows these 5G to act like those bt/wifi echolocation imaging thing this is why the west didn't like Chinese 5G, either way your screens would still get remotely accessed - keep in mind ionospheric physics at large already can do the same echolocation imaging.
John Titor · 2023-04-01 18:57
>>68395 It's crafty bait for dumb people. You can use a speaker as a mic, therefore, you can probably catch a light signal with a LED!

>>68218 This is Hollywood's version of a backdoor. Cameras, boohoo scary. Of course your monitor spies on you. It's laden with proprietary bullshit. It just doesn't do this by filming you (which doesn't yield any interesting info at all). The real info to steal is text on your screen. This can easily be harvested by OCR running on the monitor.

There is another sinister operation lainons should be concerned with. If you spin around for 10 seconds and stop, you will begin to feel very disoriented and perhaps even nauseous. This is because of an implant hospitals put in people's brains as soon as they're born, so that they can limit the amount of G force you can withstand, making you vulnerable in any physical confrontation. In fact, surgical procedures aren't even necessary anymore, since they've miniaturized these mind control devices to the point that they can aerosolize them and spread them with chemtrails. The only way to disable these devices that enter through your lungs is to take at least one deep breath of leaded gas fumes every day, since the heavy metal blocks all wireless signals. TL;DR: If you breathe, you are currently being hacked to your core, and you should be ingesting lead to counter it.
