Why no one talking about this underrated extension? The idea behind is nice, works better than umatrix or noscript.

uBlock Origin can already block 1st and 3rd party JS and frames, and uMatrix has been unmaintained for almost 2 years.

About LibreJS...
>It blocks nonfree nontrivial JavaScript while allowing JavaScript that is free and/or trivial.
It's better to do the work yourself and configure uBlock to disable all scripts (1st and 3rd party) by default, and enable them only when needed.

No thanks, I'd rather stick to ublock instead of just suckling the FSFs tits and letting them judge for me what scripts to run or not run.
'Freetard' is the best term for it people who worship the FSF. Whether you choose to accept that is your choice.

there's no point in blocking non-free JS when most sites use non-free JS.
just use NoScript and enable/disable to your leisure

Because it's dumb. Anyone can have pretty much any code run if they slap a license header thingy on their code. Even if it's nonfree (minified JS is inherently nonfree I think).

>any code run if they slap a license header thingy on their code
that is the neat part, they won't. leaving mostly harmless js.

If you're using Ublock you can also just disable javascript by default and only enable it if necessary. It doesn't have as granular control as NoScript but it's less browser extensions if that means anything to anyone.

If it's malicious code, then they might. Why would you take the risk?
Special Agent Bob · 2023-05-13 11:36
I've started to use it. I don't allow anything blocked to use only free JS.
It is funny to see that people who use free software mindlessly execute proprietary JS. Proprietary JS is nothing different from other proprietary softwares. It's just that the language is JS.
If you don't care about proprietary JS, seriously why don't just use windows?

Proprietary JS runs within the browser sandbox, so it's harmless to me.
Besides, LibreJS is just the web's RFC 3514, implemented by someone who didn't get the joke.
