The Pentagon Creates Road Map For ‘Zero Trust’ Internet Access By 2027

Crash Override · 2023-01-14 01:07
https://www.technocracy.news/the-pentagon-creates-road-map-for-zero-trust-internet-access-by-2027/ "Ultimately, the only people who will be able to hop on the Internet, regardless of the entry point will first have to be definitively identified. This will require a personal, registered ID comparable to an electronic passport. No digital ID? You don’t use the Internet. Got ID? Every activity is tracked, catalogued and saved. The military is paving the way for this. ⁃ TN Editor this type of niggertry can't seriously happen right anons?

any other more reliable sources?

>>66614 You can read the actual document. It has nothing to do with the Internet. The proposal is for NIPRNET and SIPRNET and doesn't contain any ideas that weren't around 20 years ago when the idea of zero trust networks was already well known. It's not clear how you would turn the Internet into this as you would need to coordinate the global replacement of all infrastructure and the Internet protocol. Imagine IPv6 if China and Russia said lolno.

>>66611 Cipherpunks will solve this. At worst, we can use antennae and such to create our own alternative "internet" -- Archivists and activists can work together to avoid this type of deal for some kind of uber PirateNet. I'd contribute heavily. >>66614 I looked it up and found the item of discussion here: https://www.defense.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/3225919/department-of-defense-releases-zero-trust-strategy-and-roadmap/

>>66611 it looks like just some soykaf taken out of context but this is indeed what wh*te people actually believe

100$ it will be blockchain\web3 soykaf

This is just for the US military internet, which is distinct from the civilian internet (although there is overlap) I'm surprised they didn't already have something like this implemented to be honest.

>>66611 see >>66632 The real glow that concerns me is "post-snowden" cryptographic guarantees on the intelligence infrastructure. "Hey, don't worry guys- we are provably limiting how much surveillance we are doing! Just trust our fancy new cryptography!"

>>66611 What would this mean for the uses of Tor, I2P, etc?

LOL identify my encryption. Try banning encryption... you can't. :D :D :D

>>66637 >>66679 You think encryption protects you? Don't be naive. That's insanely childish.

>>66761 Okay sure I'll bite, why not? I understand there is no real solution at the moment but I fail to see how the premise of Bob logs in, now Bob's communication is unreadable does not circumvent this. Not that that needed to be explained but post length.

Either way if this is taken out of context or not it's still a possibility in our future. We need to make sure to have something setup in place to keep our people getting online in a private manner. Any suggestions for concerned parties?

>>66679 qubits can P=NP your encryption. y2q and stuff. but then again a alternative net for piracy/p2p is at least ideal to have the fact that the internet is really downgrading to TV2.0 where everything is controlled by big corps. this already started when it stopped being possible to forward your own port/services over your own static IP (if you happen to not have shared or NAT/similar) >>66611 I think it's been like this for quite a while. the only way to go would be "wardriving on nitros" but even the average is almost impossible to do. the thing is the top hackers are already gearing up by simply just infecting other users and using them as exit/entry point. internet is already not at all anonymous anyways, there are several things that they use to identify you, even your browser will subvert your wardriving efforts since chromium actually sends packet s (neighbor requests) and announces a beacon containing your real LAN MAC. syndication (such as js requirement for websites to work), pixel (just a tiny pixel linking to external image content can leak you to services, for example facebxxk knows your phone number and therefore your entire activity even with dynamic IP - in theory) https://desu-usergeneratedcontent.xyz/g/image/1673/79/1673790716424.png https://desu-usergeneratedcontent.xyz/g/image/1673/79/1673792183905.png

>>66766 I've been on this for a while. Maybe a wireless ISP aka WISP but wide area, something like a stand alone Wimax implementation but then wireless/communications commissions are gonna fvck us over if we use encryption and then label us "terrorists" or similar so they end up staging such event and claim "these wireless protocols are being used by [negative label] so we must shut it down" the same way they staged mass shxxtings with their agent/implant and proceeded to post on the said site/network to "associate shxxters with chan users" and have killed a lot of imageboards.

>>66611 They already know exactly who you are and everything you do anyway, they don't need to codify it like this. Coming out in the open with it would actually be an improvement; it would let everyone know what game they are really playing. Not going to happen.

>>66817 Codifying it will enable soft punishment, in the case there is a relevant social credit system, and in contrast to metadata analysis and IP provide a low effort legal avenue to tie criminal activity to an individual.
