I'm trying to mind my privacy and email is turning out to be one of the hardest parts. Email providers are all complete soykaf and self-hosting is a pain. Are you aware of any simple ways to self-host an email server or perhaps even a way to drop email altogether?

I actually used to run an email server using Luke's emailwiz for a few months, but gave it up when I started getting errors. That's most likely my fault as I know next to nothing about email. It just seems like a complicated mess to me.
