Hello Lainchan
I'm looking for a new audio player for linux since deadbeef, which is what i've been using for a year, fuarrrking KICKS DEAD WHALES DOWN THE BEACH and refuses to display album art, crashes every so often, that sort of thing. However I've not been able to find one that has this sort of musical spectrum visualizer you can see at the bottom of the picture that deadbeef has, which I really like. I've seen others like audacious which have one but they're really small and not customisable. Plus, even if deadbeef kicks dead whales, its interface is great.
So basically, I want an audio player for linux that can display album art and has this sort of spectrum visualizer. Since I use a tiling wm, I'd prefer if it was just one big window I could keep on one desktop instead of a small floating one.
Thanks

Personally I use strawberry which only seems to have album art and the basic block and boom spectrum visualizers / analyzers.

I don't know if this is enough for what you are looking as it doesn't have the rainbow colours and the decibel graph markers.
Clementine supports projectM visualizations and a few more different types of spectrum analyzers , as well as album art.

audacious was the inspiration for deadbeef's spectrum analyzer , so it has its own (but it isn't rainbow coloured unless you use the 3d one) , as well as supporting album art.

sayonara is another option that has both album art and a spectrum visualizer and is single window.

All 4 of these can be single window, though you may have to drag the plugin separate window to audacious main window to have it dock.
Cubicplayer is another that has a spectrum vizualizer but no album art.

Script it yourself around mpd/cmus and projectm.

I made one and its pretty much what >>65101 said, but rn doesnt support abum covers, it's written in python and Qt, the main focus is the personalization , have less than 600 lines and submissions are welcome ;), here are a configuration example
[Button]
x=0
y=80
Height=20
width=20
Image= /home/plof/.config/sovl/play.png
func= play_pause
[Button0]
x=30
y=80
Height=20
width=20
Image= /home/plof/.config/sovl/next.png
func= next
It's pretty easy, but is not complete, I want to add support for winnmap skins but I dont have time rn, tell me if you want it to check it up

Not right now anon. I might one day.

Seems cool anon! I'd be happy to check it out, but I really couldn't do anything to help. My programming skills are next to none.
