web hosting and domain registrar
Crash Override · 2022-07-03 08:32
What's a good and reliable web hosting company and what's a good and reliable and most importantly anonymous domain registrar ?
I've tried searxing it but all I've found was SEO articles claiming that google domains was the best one out there.

epik.com for domain registration, since they allow crypto payments and you can just generate a fake ID for the whois profile, they dont check.
For hosting im not sure, most actual web hosts i've seen dont allow crypto payments. Maybe you could get a seedbox or something and turn it into a webserver. Both companies are probably just renting you the same amazon or google VPSs anyway.

Alright thanks a lot but sadly I can't go with epik due to some reasons. Any other ideas for domain name registrar would be welcomed !
As for hosting I was planning on going with prq.se for hosting as they have a good reputation and hosted websites such as wikileaks and other.
But thanks anyway for replying !

use solutions like Tor,i2p and other solutions as backups if the domain registrar decides to take your domain down, so people could still reach your site if it gets taken down on the clearnet.

will you pay with crypto?

yes but I still want to have a domain registrar, tor and i2p would only be backup

never heard off them but I'll do my research, thanks for pointing it out to me.

Pick one. They are typically bound by their registry agreement to have valid contact information, even with dns privacy. Of course they don't know if it's invalid if they don't check but do understand that it's a loophole.

Njalla has truly anonymous domain ”registration”. They achieve it by owning your domain themselves with their info and just letting you use it as if it was yours.
Of course, that does mean you don’t own it and they can ultimately do whatever they want. But if you’re primarily worried about dox, as long as you pay in crypto at no point do they have any of your information.
The Fin · 2022-08-08 06:08
Don't ever use njalla, they have political sides and shut you down without any advise, they censor you, I lost two domains with them.
They are pure bullshit, porkbun and now.top are great and are honest at least.

I mean I used fake info to get my domains from namesilo but don't tell anyone, and they accept bitcoin (though I did pay with a credit card initially which has my info so I can't confirm if you can start with bitcoin initially). Ramnode allows bitcoin payments for their VPS hosting, I like their high-capacity HDD VPS deals, e.g. $3/mo for 160GB. If you're going to host anything DMCA-violating you'd want to use a Russian VPS instead (and make sure to geoblock Russia just in case), and as always it's a good idea to also hide your host with a reverse proxy like Cloudflare.

What were you doing to get shut down? I've been doing fine.
Unknown · 2022-08-08 21:38
I use Namecheap for my domains. They're fine and cheap. Pretty traditional host. Not sure what they check upon signup or how anonymous they are honestly. But they're reliable and flexible.

>I use Namecheap
Namecheap is the Unity Engine of domain registrars. It's great when you're getting started and just want to get setup, but eventually you're going to start running into problems.
I don't think Unity has as many problems with believing forged documents asking for your info or even your entire domain, though.

I simply ran an imageboard. A friend of mine also got his domain suddenly off by them, they are cunts.
BloodCat · 2022-08-30 11:37
perhaps incognet? I haven't used them yet but they seem cool, run an invidius instance over i2p

im just using ddns feature came with the router. but this only support self-signed ssl certification if i want encrypted transfering. So I host my little blog and some self-hosting servers without ssl because nobody really know and want to visit my website. Also most transfer in my connection isnt port forwarding too. but what if somebody want to visit my website like my friends, then I give them onion url.
