Whenever I see some youtuber shilling it, it seems nice since you can carry cards and paper money in a minimal way.
But the question is, how do you carry coins? Not sure if that is an American thing, but compared to US, where I live we use coins frequently. I mean why would you castrate such function from your wallet?

Americans use one dollar bills and tip so they don't need to carry as much coins as Euro, Swiss Franc or Czech Koruna users for example. I haven't understood point of such ridge wallets either, a leather or canvas wallet is flexible more comfortable to carry than a rigid metal wallet.

When I was a kid and used coins to buy stuff from the vending machine, I just carried them in a small ziploc bag. How many coins are you carrying?

I agree. A simple bifold wallet is much better and way less expensive than any of that crap.

biggest coin in wide circulation in US is the quarter dollar. Can't do much with the quarter dollar, a discount bus ride can easily cost 5 times that, and that's pretty darned cheap.
In some other countries you have like the equivalent of dollar coins (or more), and with just a couple of those you can actually do handy things, but in the US its not usually so much. Dollar coins exist but they're not too common to see, not sure the last time I saw one in circulation, it has to have been months at least. Saw a half dollar the other day and even that was special.
Also this is a hip cool techbro wallet like product. The type of person who carries something like this usually is a card only guy anyway. Ability to carry a couple bills is a nice bonus feature as far as he's concerned. Coins ? What is this, 500AD ?

I use a trifold because bifolds don't have enough space for coins. I currently have like 20 coins in my wallet (euros).

See, they always dump out on me. I'm considering getting a lil coin purse to keep in my back pocket or something.

The raw materials that coins are made up of are worth more than the coins themselves. I would personally not carry them for this fact alone.

That's only true for really low denominations like the US cent & nickel and the Japanese one yen coin. A US quarter costs 9 cents to produce and a dime only 3.9 cents.

Hard wallets and cardholders are terrible. If you want something compact but still functional get a "front pocket wallet" like this.

A respectable man always carries his coin dispenser ready to discharge some cold brass.

While I was shopping around for those I stumbled on a "surf short wallet"
ID sleeve, 2 zip pouches so I have 1 for cash one for cards
And a keyring I use for my warehouse key
The bride tag on it is so I can easily pull the key out and stuff it back in
