I've been using linux mint for a few weeks and I like it. I don't really know what to do now tho. Kind of lost in the options while not knowing what they are. I've downloaded stuff from the terminal and still learning how to use wine for gaming but its frustrating as fuarrrk. Not to mention all of the Indians that flood vids about anything tech related I have to comb through before finding anything that's even remotely related and helpful.

You might have better luck with Proton than straight Wine, full disclosure though I gave up and use a separate Windows machine for games, even when the game has a native Linux option, everything I tried performed worse on the same hardware if it ran at all.
I still use Mint for everything else though. Many of the problems I had with it at first were resolved by switching the desktop from Cinnamon to Xfce.

Try getting into ricing, or debloating mint. I use mint and I love it, but I ditched LightDM for ly (https://github.com/nullgemm/ly) and Xfce for Openbox. It's much faster actually on my hardware and it's fun to learn. If you don't know what I mean by those terms, google is your friend.

Part of the appeal of linux is always having something new to learn, and if you can't find a feature you want you can inplement it yourself. The first step for a lot of people is being able to automate the things you do, for example with scripts and systemd services. If you haven't yet, you should look at freedesktop.org.
>wine for gaming
Have you tried lutris(/playonlinux)? It allows you to easily switch prefixes between games and has a community based install system for things.

Pro-tip: Some Linux tutorials is like kicking dead whales down the beach because of Indians, it's way better to read from documentation or tech sites

Indian and Chinese content is a real problem, wish there was some way to filter them out

proton is much better than wine ootb. The reason I use windows for gaming is to gain a few more FPS since my cpu is pretty old
