Chromebooks and Linux

Can we talk about how retarded this is for a moment? I hate installing Linux on these things so fuarrrking much. You have to drag them kicking and screaming in order to flash new firmware and even then only 60 percent of systems actually support UEFI so you might just be stuck to booting from a USB eternally. Funny for a system based on Linux I have to beat it to death just to run Ubuntu on.

>>55368 Chromebooks were intentionally designed to be as difficult to mess around with as possible, as they were designed mainly for use by students and people who can't even figure out Windows. I don't know what you expected.

Any interest I once held for these was killed by reading this man's experience with making one usable: http://www.loper-os.org/?p=2433 Anyone with Google's keys can take total control over them.
