Hello lainons what do you carry with you every day? What kind of tech? In my wallet I have my 2 nano USB keys, one for OS one for personal files.
I have different SIMs and sim tools, small screwdriver.
What do you have with you?

-knife
-hipflask of whiskey
-precision toolset
-3 wallets, 2 with cash, one empty
-pepperspray
-a set of adaptors for different widespread connectors, some of them self-made (because fuarrrk paying 5 bucks for a piece of plastic and metal.)
-smartphone (I really don't care about trackers, and there's not even any personal info on it to begin with. I use it mostly for leeching WiFi and Torrenting in public libraries)
-dumbphone for calls and SMS
-a few thumbdrives
-toothpicks
-matches
-cheapo rain poncho
-spare change to throw to homeless people, when I don't want them to bother me
-a few cans of beer to share with homeless people, when I actually want to listen to their stories
-a sling bag to carry it all.
Pic related, it's my precision toolset.

Backpack gets a little heavy, but this is my absolute bare minimum. I keep one in each rig with spare clothes and a glock .40 + extra mags.
Picrel would be really sweet. The x200 gets left behind often due to weight. A 10" screen and physical keyboard to manage terminals would be sweet. Using the smartphone keyboard and screen drives me crazy.

Lots lains really prepared with the iron here, i dont carry a piece since its too heavy and all that, but i should.
List of items in my standard inventory: keychain with swiss knife attached(and a bunch of other smaller useful crap).
Old catphone i just use as telephone, its supposed to be water proof but sadly its not.
Wallet, since im poor i only got like some change i find and my id.
A tin box to collect seeds and other small useful crap i can find.
Lighter for obvious reasons.
Last but not least a pair of pliers like in >>54549, but without the whole set, cant understate how useful one of these is, dont leave the house without it.

Any bags you can recommend that are snaller than a backpack but can safely carry my 14" laptop?
Backpacks feel like absolute overkill when everything I put in there is laptop, charger and perhaps a book, laptop bags are less practical than backpacks and I haven't found anything better yet. Bike messenger bags look quite interesting, but the famous timbuk2 models are either to small for a 14" or as large as my backpack.
My criteria for a good bag:
>durable
>safely mounted on my body so I can use it on my bike, so no classic laptop messenger bag
>less than 100€, I wouldn't mind buying used
Any ideas?

I was about to say pen too but I guess even that's not true these days. I am a man of simple tastes.
Used to carry a wallet but wallets are bloat. I used to say I didn't carry an ID so I couldn't buy booze but now I just don't carry money either.
Used to carry keys habitually too. Probably a good habit to try and resume.
So knife is the only thing that really sticks. And ya know they're pretty darn useful. Not just for stabbing people, any more.
So Ill turn the question back on y'all. What the hell should I be carrying ? what things are useful and vital ? I've sometimes been tempted to get into prepping and start carrying fishing wire or whatever in my shoelaces but never gotten around to it.

can't agree. Sometimes certain tech is required because of jobs or school. Other tech is just more practical or more comfortable in use, or does something better than a combination device. I use a separate MP3 player for music, but i use my smartphone for browsing, data handling and writing (I have a text editor and a pdf reader on it, also got an adapter for connecting thumbdrives to it). It's preference, but sometimes preference stems from practical thoughts.
>>55209
Add a knife, and probably a set of precision screwdrivers. I always carry those, and on the rare occasion i need them, i am deeply thankful for having them. Maybe a piece of string , and, something i always keep in a pocket, a box of matches. Those come in handy in the weirdest ways. Need a light? matches. something stuck between your teeth? sharpen a match, Boom, toothpick. need to store something small, like a couple screws or a ball bearing? put it into the matchbox. Having a matchbox is great, and you're only limited by your imagination.
Actually, i really like to keep other things in my matchboxes. The one i carry with me only has about 20 matches, the rest of the space is filled with other useful stuff: a length of strong thread, a sewing needle, a paper clip, a razor blade, a piece of tapewrapped graphite, and on rare occasions, a foilwrapped caffeine pill.

In a populated area you dont need to. Want some water ? pull a gun on the next guy you see with a waterbottle. Want a snack ? Same, or do it in a ship. Want some gloves or somewhere to stay warm ? likewise, gun is the answer.
Guns are incredible tools.
But re: carring laptops yeah I never could get into the habit they're stupid heavy and fragile and annoying to use. I only carry one when I'm actually using it. Would hate to need one with me all day.

Have you perhaps considered that for the significant noise and police attention shooting someone may or may not bring you could simply take your stainless steel water bottle out of your bag and brain a child or potentially a pensioner to death with it and collect their blood?
Its less noisy and cheaper, bullets are expensive and blood is a good source of iron, warming too, like natures bovril.
I really don't understand bringing tons of technology with you but not basic soykaf like a warm layer/gloves/raingear delete as appropriate or a drink/snacks, people worry about having to hack the gibson or reinstall your OS on the go but not about the much more likely scenarios of your hands getting cold/ potentially having to handle something you don't want to touch or getting caught out in the rain?

Tequila · 2022-01-07 09:22

Just got up.
Yeah, same here with the weapons
>Lockpick set maybe?
Can you pic locks? Are you much into physsec? Do you move in an environment, where this could come in handy? Then sure, go ahead. I don't carry one, as it's pretty much outside my expertise. If I need to get in somewhere, I ask someone, or I look for other entryways (doors, windows, someone holding open a door.)
>I don't live in a country where weapons/gloves are really applicable
Not to worry, me neither. Everything around you can be a weapon, again, only your imagination limits you (and maybe your brutality). Bricks, trash cans, fvcking spoons... But if you want a weapon no one can question you for, carry a screwdriver. Philips head, small point, PH1 is best for this. It's basically the best stabbing tool you can get, other than an icepick (the bar variety, absolutely brutal) and if you sharpen it slightly, you can still get away with it, since it would just be a finer screwdriver (I just carry it in case I need to repair *insert tech here*!).
Still, if you want a completely different suggestion, carry a folded trashbag. Pretty much a lifesaver if you have a spill or need to protect something from moisture. Or maybe you want to collect trash as I do. Either way, they fold down quite much, and can fit in your back pocket. Another suggestion would be lip balm or a Chapstick, but you mentioned that gloves don't apply, so it's prolly not cold enough for that, still a suggestion for others. If it's hot where you live, maybe a small bottle of sunscreen can be useful. It pretty much comes down to where you live, where you move, what you do. All those survival type EDC kits are either far from reality and weighed down with useless sh!t (who needs a ferric rod and tinder in a damn city?) Or their owners really have to work out there a lot, where they can be caught outside for a few days, without help from outside.
Oh, if you do want to get into trash collection and materials reclaimal, look into pocket ratchets, or just entire sets with a small ratchet that can accept standard 1/4inch hex bits, and are filled with different bits, sockets and hex to square 1/4 inch adapters for putting those sockets on the ratchet. Those are extremely useful when one has to disassemble something big in the field, like a bike or a household appliance. They're not even that bulky and heavy, though you do need a bag for it.
Still, that's only if you wanna go into the whole trash and scrap thing.

friend, a knife is one of the most handy, generally useful tools I have carried around. A good pocket knife is a single, small tool that is good enough at doing any of a massive range of every day applications.
I use my pocket knife all the time to cut threads and cords. To open packages and cut tape. If you don't have a tweezers a knife can help you pull out splinters a lot better than nothing. It can be used as an alright lever/wedge or screwdriver, or just as a probe to stick into something you don't want to stick your fingers in.
They can be used to mark objects and write, to scrape things clean. To cut and eat food, and cut up any other random object within reason. I'm probably forgetting dozens of things even I've used mine for. And of course they can be a weapon, which is also perfectly a reasonable thing to carry about. A knife is just a friggin handy thing to have, even if you're a crazy pacifistic fagg0t.
Guns obviously are less generally handy, but they've certainly got their purposes too.

>why do you carry pocket knife?
Why not? Unless you are from Germany where 99,9% of knives are illegal unless they are a microscopic fixed one sided blade or from the UK when you can get arrested because you had a freaking butter knife in your pocket it makes a lot of sense. Knife is one of the most universal tools known to humanity.
It does not automatically make you a cold blooded killer of infants or other mentally ill fantasy of some schizophrenic lawmaker who lacks any creativity in resort of inventing reasons why electorate should vote for them.
t. lainon from a country where it's legal to walk with a two handed sharpened longsword in public places and knife crimes are almost non existent outside of domestic abuse gone murder with a kitchen knife cases. We can also own legally any black powder gun or carbine including military ones from times before some year in second half of 19th century without any permit or even registration and I cannot even name a single case of a murder committed with black powder gun in recent decades. Some of these carbines can kick as strong as AK-47, some possibly even harder.

Projection. You know why I am the way I am? Because I have to pay bills, rent, taxes. I gotta buy groceries and gas. What do you do that you haven't noticed all this? Live with your mom and work from home on your laptop?
I got my truck stolen and rammed into a concrete divider, and right now a used geo metro from like 2003 costs eighteen thousand dollars. A tank of gas costs a day's wages and I gotta refill that less than every two weeks, effectively killing nearly 10% of my money. I walk outside and there's crackheads camped out across the street screaming at me. They get in my yard and rustle around and tap on my windows at night. Everyone I know has been mugged. About half of my friends have gotten evicted and lived in cars in the past two years. A lot of them are still homeless. My damn roommate can't make the full share of the rent because of his job now, and I can't just kick him out because then I'd go broke and end up out there with the crackheads too.
And this is 1000% going to get worse. Yes, it will eventually catch up with you as well.

I don't get why everyone is talking about like the boog or WWIII or Ukraine something all of a sudden and then telling me I'm the one who is watching too much news. Obviously they are the ones doing that if this comes to mind unprompted when I say I carry a gun and suggest others prepare because things are getting worse.
I don't carry a little .32 auto handgun because I'm worried about world war three. I'm worried about world war ME, motherfuсker. Because rarely a night goes by that I don't hear mag dumps a few blocks over around here. Because the last time my place got broken into and a significant amount of stuff taken (like the guy came inside, didn't just grab what was in reach from a window) I called the police at 9pm and they showed up at 3am. This was last summer, by the way. And halfway through filing the report, the cop got called off because they're short staffed and there was a shooting nearby. Said he'd come back, never did. Never amounted to anything of course.
If I had been home and things went sideways, who would be responsible for my safety? Me, that's who. And what would have happened if I left that piece at home and the guy took it and murdered somebody with my gun? So it's always on me.
And no, I can't move. I'm in the rent trap. I go closer to work, rent triples. I go further from work, and gas is too expensive by the time I get somewhere significantly cheaper. No public transport. Avoid this trap if you can, life is long and it rears its ugly face often.
If people don't get this, it's because they are lucky. Economic crashes happen all the time. Money gets tight. People get desperate and end up in tents and smoking meth and ѕһіt. So you aren't in that kind of area, good for you. But do you think you're elite? No, you're a kulak. And kulaks get liquidated when economies crash. Ours is definitely gonna crash, the inverted yield curve and flooded repo market since 2019 is proof of that. This is a trend, not a fluke. And if the petrodollar ends? Hooo get ready, your life is gonna change.
Being prepared doesn't make one a paranoid fool. I swear, how many times to preppers have to be right before people stop making fun of them? If you hedge now you might be fine later and not have to figure it out on the fly if it happens. If a person doesn't get this, then he is the one who needs to listen most. Yeah, I'm mad. I'm seething. I'm bitter and angry. Wasn't always like this—what did it to me is still out there, so prepare and maybe you won't become like me.

"Collapse" has already happened, but it's more like a controlled demolition. It was intentionally brought down in a specific way to keep it from imploding in a spectacular way. So yes, we are seeing a "hard times" collapse, not the meme "innawoods fighting zombies under a nuclear sun" collapse. Duh-doy, and anybody making fun of people for predicting the latter is strawmanning.
This is like watching an incoming tidal wave from the shore. The hApPeNiNg already happened a while ago. We are just watching it get closer until it affects us personally. Some people are still debating over whether it will hit us. Yes, it will hit us. Don't listen to those idiots anymore, they failed to predict a single thing accurately these past two years despite having the full might of every institution on earth behind them. It's time to admit those institutions are lying to cover their asses. They aren't dumb or mistaken. Lying.
At this point crazy street-corner preachers have more merit than they do. These same ѕһіtheads did the exact identical routine before 2008. Expert-trusters are dumb people. Too dumb to be taken seriously. It's kind of sad, like seeing a dog try to operate a tractor or something.
The economic burst was already very clear by the end of 2019. Much of the coof hysteria was put in place by governments worldwide to obscure the very clear fact that governments worldwide had utterly screwed their citizens financially. Ukraine hysteria is there to cover up the waning coof hysteria (even the aforementioned dickbrains are starting to wise up and think hey maybe these mega-pharaohs running big medicorps don't actually have my best interests in mind). Ukraine is also going to be the excuse for collapse of fertilizer and food exports and heating oil killing hundreds of millions. Then they'll shift to blaming it on climate change once people return to not pretending to care about some eastern European craphole country. This will also be a smoke screen, and they will trot out the experts to protect the globalist exploiters (who happen to be the same people).
The best time to stock up on some food and water for a rainy day was yesterday. Second best time is now. Everyone should stop listening to the "rational" "adults in the room" NOW because come on, what have they said at any point in your entire life that didn't turn out to be a lie?

Well how about fixed blades? Butterfly knife ban is retarded mostly because butterfly knives are not the greatest assault weapon in knives world (blade attachment points are weak points). Additionally most of them IRL have really soykafty handles decreasing assault qualities even further. You can do cool tricks with them or peel an apple but trying to sculpt wood with them might put many of them on too big strain.
Many countries derezzed various folding knives while leaving fixed blade - the most reliable form of knife also as an assault weapon the most deadly not derezzed at all or introducing some limits to blade length at which fixed blade still is more deadly than any folder.
Yes, most knives laws are purely aesthetics based than having any logic behind them.

Where I live you own a gun either because you hunt and it's a hunting rifle or because you need it for work, think law enforcement, military, security force etc. You can get a gun permit, it's not super difficult or anything, it's just basically nobody does that. It would be considered really weird and anyway there's no point, it's safe, people feel safe. I don't even know anybody who owns a firearm. In the last 10 years I saw an actual gun maybe twice, when security guards were loading the ATM or carrying money from the banks or something and that's about it.

idc about brands, I just want the good stuff, and these being near military grade brands I thought they will serve me for at least 10 years. I am not the biggest fan of throwing soykaf out after a year, that's why I am asking. Thrift stores in my city aren't what you would find in the US or eastern europe (namely Poland, where you can/could buy soykaf by weight. idk if it's still the case). Stuff isn't that cheap and there isn't much there anyway. But w/e, I'll drop by there tommorow and see if there's anything of value.

Carrying a gun is easy and low impact if you can afford it. Everyone's threat model should include being mugged by a junkie.
A free man owns himself and so has to take responsibility for his most important property. If you can't decisively end a threat to yourself, you belong to someone else. Buy a gun and train as much as your funds will allow you to.

There is no brand that is affordable and not expensive. If you can, buy military surplus. There are webstores for that, or you can look around your local flea market, there may even be something else you want there. If it survived grunts for 10+ years, it'll survive you for another 20. If that's not an option, try buying stuff made from denim or leather, I can recommend the canvas hiking backpack by Aoking, it's about 30€ from Amazon if I remember correctly, but I got it used on a flea market for a fiver. It comfortably holds about 20 kilos without showing even the slightest weakness. Good luck on finding something you like lain.

Some other good brands in are swissgear, filson, Kuhl, Thule, or some higher end Oakley or Dakine and if you want military style, fox tactical on the low end, or London Bridge Trading on the high end are some of my recommendations if you are living in america. I can provide different recommendations if lains want something outside the USA, or if you have a specific use of packing list, style, or use (Like cameras, computers, hiking, camping etc.)

No, it looks pretty normal, if you mean the watch. I got it on clearance a few years ago, so I wasn't really concerned about the color. No, this could still be in America. Just because you use a Huawei that cost $20 does not mean everyone else does. Street prices are also not too atrocious. People were buying ammo off the dark web at normal prices during the supposed "shortage" which was just a code word for we can charge more because we want to. I already posted here but recently i made a habit of not leaving the house without my military vest that has useful/emergency stuff right in designated pockets so i dont need to go trough searching when i need something and can put it right back in.
Contents of said vest are: small binoculars, compass, gloves, tissues, earplugs, pincers, lighter with flash light, pen, mini pocket knife, micro usb cable, earphones, pepper spray, generic plastic "key" for water hoses and such and a small canteen for collecting water.
It also provides both thermal and slight kinetic protection(incase ukrainean "refugees" want me to "donate" them food).
My minimal equpiment consists of keychain with pocket knife attached, wallet, lighter, phone(just for phoning) and a pair of pliers for various things.
It hasnt gone to the level of having to carry a baynette and a gun, but once it does im gonna be ready.
Id carry more equipment but currently the systems are packed.

EDC kits are LARPing to some extent. take with you whatever suits you. If you don't need a weapon where you live, that's perfectly fine, same with most stuff people here list. If you want to be prepared for unforeseen circumstances, think about what may happen on the way to buy food, and just pack accordingly. You may fall and scrape your knees? some band-aids will do. Maybe you come across something interesting, that you don't want to put into your clean pocket? plastic bag it is.
Generally, something that can always come in handy, are a few plastic bags, a spare pair of shoelaces for your shoes, and a box of matches or a lighter.

yes you need to be carrying more stuff. I suggest investing in some nice cookware, such as a cast iron dutch oven. In order to make its use practical, you'll likely also want to carry fire starting materials. If you don't live in a dry forrest, this should consist of 10 pounds at least of firewood, or a propane stove system if you're a modernist. If you are in a dry forrest, consider a large steel pan in which to hold your fire making materials safely.
Additionally, you're going to need something to cook. The best option is to carry a good hunting rifle and a good multipurpose knife, as well as a generous supply of ammunition. If you live in a city you may instead opt for a handgun and a crowbar.
You mention carrying a phone, but as anyone here will tell you, phones are an insecure medium of communication, fully dependant on easily targeted infrastructure for any long range (beyond wifi) comms purposes. You need to invest in a high power portable radio system, as well as an easily errected long range antenna, ideally the type you can throw up in some trees in just a few minutes. To power it you'll need at least one car battery or equivalent.
The unfortunate thing about radio is that it makes you an easy target, and here is where we get into self defense. Radio installations are highly vulnerable to anti emissions missiles like the HARM. You're going to need at least a couple of high power radio decoys, ideally that can be launched at some speed and short notice, as well as a missile approach warning system.
Last but not least, a portable guided missile launcher is always a handy thing to have, the price has lately gone down a ton what with the war in ukraine. These can be quite disruptive to attacking aircraft as well as armoured vehicles and should give you time to evade.
Hope that helps.

> From the replies various methods that the group utilizes can be studied and effective methods developed to stop them from their activities.
The best methods and practices for *anything* are those which it doesn't help to know that they're going to be used.
Anything else is security by obscurity and subject to its usual failures.
> #5
It's entirely dependent on the forum having stable identities or users otherwise making no effort to anonymize themselves. Even just anonymized pseudonymous identities mostly sidestep the issue.
Also if you're part of a favored class, for example whites in USA, they'll ignore online threats anyway. Just look at all recent mass shootings where intent had been declared *way* before anything was done.
Of course, only idiots will unambiguously implicate themselves.
> #6
This one really reflects the main point of my post. All the failure types highlighted in the top of that (very long) article are symptomatic of forums being inadequate for communication and forcing users to relinquish control of their experience. #6 specifically depends on users' inability to moderate themselves and choose for themselves. It is also strongly dependent on the difficulty of creating another communication channel with the same userbase. Both of these are inherently because of forums and web browsers having a sucky UI.
Usenet or something similar to it would easily prevent that from working.

What's wrong with someone having the ability to defend themselves until everyone's favourite person, Mr Cop, shows up? Pockets:
Corporate tracking device running Lineage OS, protected by a sock for safekeeping
Severely worn wallet containing government chip id card, public transport card (europe rules), and school chip id card. Occasionally I keep the fiat currency v-buck card in there too, but I don't often need it, so I usually leave it at home.
Keychain including keys to my bike and house, as well as a coin to be able to grab a shopping cart at the supermarket.
Backpack (not always with me, but usually it is):
HP laptop running Gentoo Linux (Sandy Bridge CPU, I'd estimate it was made in the mid 2010s, but I wouldn't know exactly because it's second hand)
Charger for said laptop
Cable to connect laptop to corporate tracking device in order to access the boring version of the wired
Casio calculator
Pens
Compasses
Occasionally school books
On body:
Casio multifunctional watch with calculator and phone numbers
Bracelet, origin unknown
Religious prayer necklace, gift from father

It is a comforting idea that any occupation of our country would be way worse than Afghanistan though? In all seriousness it does seem only practical to take advantage of any right you have. You don't have to be a psyco who fantasizes about hurting people and you don't have to shoot someone in the head. Just by having the power to escalate a situation and using it responsibly can probably prevent most violence.

Laws won't protect you, but generally people won't just stand around and watch a murder be committed. Also, unless you actually have enemies that want to kill you, you probably will never need to defend your life by taking another. A gun is a device for killing and it cannot be used as a reasonable response to any threat that is not the immediate threat of death or great bodily harm. It can only be a deterrent in other situations, when put on display.

Not really though, unless you just watch yourself bleed. The main "limb" danger is around the hips where you can't put a tourniquet, and still technically center mass.
Is a sword meant to kill people? Is any weapon meant to kill people? It's quite the philosophical gymnastics since most gunshot wounds aren't fatal and even militaries hold the doctrine of "shooting to maim."
See, when you shoot to hurt, it takes 4 guys to drag him off the battlefield. By only hurting, not killing, you successfully removed 5 enemies from the fight. Doctrine, statistics, history and common sense all aside, simple math is proof that guns are not specifically for killing.
The NATO 5.56 was even specifically designed and chosen to maximize the survivability of whoever gets shot while also inflicting serious life threatening wounds.

Mainly because its really hard to get somebody to flat out kill a guy who they have nothing against personally. You can easily die of being maimed.
Just because most gunshot wounds aren't fatal doesn't mean they aren't potentially mortal wounds, including shots to the hand or foot. This is like saying cocaine isn't addictive because most cocaine users never get addicted.
>See, when you shoot to hurt, it takes 4 guys to drag him off the battlefield.
That would make perfect sense if everybody stopped fighting to drag their buddy off the battlefield. Thats not something you can rely on at all. Prussian trained infantry would literally step over the wounded and dying to continue pressing forward.
It's also pointless in a self defense situation because a) you're almost certainly not a soldier on active duty b) you're probably in really close quarters

None of that changes the fact that the 5.56 was designed to not kill and selected to not kill. If one "gun" violates your principle of "designed to kill" then your principle is false. Adapt your terms but "guns are meant to kill" is demonstrably false. Weapons are meant to be a threat.

Laws don't do soykaf. Its unironically easier to leave someone as an unsolved shooting victim than to claim self defense by reporting yourself.
Lawyers will try to get money no matter what, and cops have to treat every shooting as a crime.
Look at places with huge homeless, drug, or migrant problems. Also consider that people who carry guns are usually also not normally prepared to use them, and they get treated as comfort objects or fashion statements.
>>66129
Wrong... The bystander effect literally refers to peoples uselessness, but you are right, guns exist to kill, but the threat of death does deter violence sometimes.
>>66172
Most criminals don't use expensive ammunition, people die because of saturation of fire, improper first aid, or not wanting to go to the hospital (gunshot cases are automatically investigated as crimes).
You can carry hollow points to reduce over penetration, and also inflict more bodily harm, but most people carry cheap fmj with their poor knowledge if weapons just causes entry+exit wounds and minor trauma.
You would be amazed at the number of people who think they are dying from a minor shot to the arm or leg, chest wounds kill by causing the torso to fill with air, but that takes a while.
>>66204
>"Oh no! My fren!".
This is literally something militaries have to train troops to avoid.
The tldr of carrying guns for EDC is that you probably wont use it, but most people hesitate to use it anyway. I'm not saying you should not carry guns for EDC, but if you do, make sure you know when and how to actually kill someone (especially don't use "warning shots" or "leg shots" or any of that gay soykaf and learn to not mag dump, you have a gun to kill, not to act tough like some kind of larping faggit).
The same goes for any self defense tool. You should have someone spray you with pepper spray, because being in close proximity means you will have to deal with it getting on you, and knife fighting requires skill. Batons are also practical, but you cant hesitate or go easy on someone or they can take it and kill you.

>you have a gun to kill
True, any shot fired should be considered instantaneously lethal; This is the respect we share for guns and their use, but reality is far removed from expectations. Most gunshots do not kill, 80% of pistol shots aren't lethal, probably because the people using them don't realize how hard it is to kill somebody.
t. Tactical Combat Casualty Care with the US military. Guys with 10 holes in them have to be told they're going to die if they don't sit down, others see blood and think they're dying. The difference between instantaneous death is how fuarrrked up your plates are and millimeter differences in round placement.
For you shy liberals, an excellent example is that stab wounds are almost never fatal. It's almost always blood loss from slashes. The same is true of rounds that enter the body in weird circumstances. No I'm not a medic.
>O no my fren
>Armies have to train their soldiers to not do this
>Specifically because "shoot to maim" is the most successful military strategy since the phalanx
And enemies have exceptional desertion rates as a result. That's why we broadcast to the enemy that we take prisoners; No death penalty, no more fighting, a comfortable, safe cell and 3 meals a day. They roll over and become informants, we even give them phone calls back to their soykaf holes.

Quickest I see are like you say slashes and then 5 gallons spurt out and they drop.

LMAO not that gay soykaf, Karambits require significant training to use. Use it wrong and you get it stuck. It is practical as a control device (digging, clawing, dragging) but not as a defense weapon without training and a ot of practice. The SOCP is a contemporary concealable dagger, and combat daggers have been in use for centuries. For EDC, using a craft knife, scalpel, or small dagger, and even a well made writing utencil or screwdriver works fine.
Knife wounds are all about placement, slashes will cause people to bleed out for sure, but stabs/cuts to vital areas (nerves, arteries, soft tissue) will do much more damage than a superfcial laceration. Think about most kitchen injuries and how survivable they are.
Or carry a hammer, nobody questions a good handyman.

I also usually have a flashlight, safety glasses, a small inspection mirror and assorted tools when I am working.
On the weekends I carry keys, knife, mp3 player, and some money.
All these anons trying to carry covert self defense tools make me laugh. You aren't some kind of assassin or hero, and the odds are most would be better off investing in a good pair of running shoes to get in shape. If you need a weapon, go all out, not saying to be a larper, but don't try improvising as your go-to.
Consider your threat model, you seem to be exceptionally good at scaling cybersec to who might try to get you, so do the same for physec.
In many cases a bulletproof vest is more valuable than a gun. If you expect to get into a gun fight, you will probably also need trauma medical supplies and at a certain point may as well carry a buggout bag.
Most cases being able to go to a doctor is fine if you are within 30 minutes of a hospital. But will you need to fight your way there, will people come at you with heavy weapons, or are you in a warzone or gang territory?

What do you guys do to have functional/useful strength for everyday situations? Stuff like pull ups, weighted carries, walking with a pack, and the like.
Lately I've been getting into strongman routines/exercises to build up my ability to carry awkward things without hurting myself and building neck muscles to prevent strains and injuries there, but I supplement them with the usual compound movements and supporting exercises. My current goal is to be able to lift a small car/medium log off someone if need be WITHOUT breaking my spine.

Imo endurance is better than strength. Sure you can lift a car or a log, but how often do you expect to be doing that unless you are a firefighter or paramedic or something. I can think of dozens of scenarios where being able to run a marathon or walk long distances is more practical everyday.
I walk to work, which saves me money, and I carry a rucksack with my lunch and misc. edc items. I could survive with everything I have on my back.

>>66375
>If something really heavy is on someone else or myself, I don't want that to be a hinderance
How much weight are you expecting to direct lift? you will probably have other people to help in most situations and also have leverage. Unless you have a large frame that can support lifting 200+ kg, the return on investment just isn't there unless you just want to be a strong man. That becomes a full time job itself. Lifting and pushing are also vastly different motions.

It really isn't. I added strongman movements to my exercises and, apart from helping with mobility, is fairly easy to progress in. I'm only 6', but I'm up to 100kg farmers walks and 175kg stone carries in about 6 months of training, but for the compound movements that allow the lifting of 200+kg, I've been doing that in squats and deadlifts for a while. It hasn't been a "fulltime job", just training regularly for a long time. I believe most men and women alike can do this if they feel the need to (which they should).
>you will probably have other people to help in most situations
There aren't many people that can lift nearly this much, if any. The point is that I don't want to depend on others, which is largely the point of EDC in and of itself.

That fits me just fine. I like it. It puts holes in stuff and it's a nice lil stubby chode gun.

How's the flip phone life? I've been considering it, Pixel w/Graphene OS and greyscale screen is still too attention consuming for me but I can't go phoneless due to work commitments.

how do you all (in places where it's illegal) hide the scent of your spliffs so the k9s units dont stop you while walking down the road. I get harassed a lot by the local PD. They mostly just tell me to destroy it (since its a small amount). I live around an area with pretty high crime so I carry a gun too. I don't wanna die because I'm walking down the street smoking weed.

Cops in my area don't bother you about weed or really any kind of drugs unless they've already decided they don't like you because you look poor and/or too brown.
The only laws that actually apply to you are the ones the cops decide to enforce when they see you, so just figure out what kind of people cops don't bother where you live and learn to pass as one of them.

snubnoses cant hit the broadside of a fuarrrking barn. You'd have better luck with a TEC9

It's as you'd expect. Old and slow software, however very distraction free. And in a pinch you could use ti to browse web or send messages over element or something. I like it because the media capabilities are also soykaf. The reception is somehow better than an iphone (work friend's phone on same carrier).

I know I will never get an answer but it’s worth a try, what do you run on that n900? what even are the choices for software in 2021+2?
