>Peer to peer
Today I shipped the V3 of 3Dchan. This one isn’t an online virtual world, but a map builder where you share your world using web browser’s Peer2peer. Nothing is stored on the 3Dchan server, all remains on your computer. By implementing a PWA feature (https://web.dev/progressive-web-apps/) you will still be able to use 3Dchan even if the site disappears.
There is also improvements in textures, ability to build a real 3D world, on several levels and add NPC with real encrypted messages.
Controls now use arrows.
I didn’t add mobile support to V3.0. It’s clearly not a good way to experience this version: Peer2peer and level saving are not working on IOS, and BabylonJS controls are a pain to implement.
This project wouldn’t have shipped without your support. Thanks to all of you.
