I use Windows 10 on my video editing laptop. One issue I have is what a pain in the ass it can be to just go home using the file explorer. Currently I have a shortcut to my home folder pinned to my taskbar. I have had so many experiences of just wanting to go home, and getting dumped into "This PC" which is really hard to go home from (difficult compared to going home on my debian box).
How does lainchan like to get home (On windows or whatever you're using)?

I have a 12000 line shell script that i execute with an alias that points to a link to a compiled executable lowlevel C program that completely redirects my current shell directory to my home folder. (which is naturally stored on an encryped external disk with 3 hashed passphrases that change every 30 seconds if i dont unlock it fast enough)

by ptracing the running shell and overwriting the cwd variable in memory presumably.
