https://github.com/cjdelisle/cjdns The technical motivation seems correct, but I can't understand what they write (e.g. https://github.com/cjdelisle/cjdns/blob/master/doc/Whitepaper.md), beyond the broad strokes that they're making yet another peer-to-peer communication software (but it's different from the others! so say they..) because it's too idiomatic (not to mention their categorical rejection of Mathematics, Engineering,, which I suspect is not their intention). could someone explain it in a calmer, intelligent, compositional (not to mention less offensive) manner? Perhaps they'll update their documentation when their software matures. Also, may as well ask, is there (going to be) a payment mechanism in cjdns? If I put cjdns on my router, and my router is going to be doing something for others, I want my router to be compensated for it, and I don't want to think about it (there's going to be too many tiny transactions to worry myself over each one): everything should be automatic, including determining the minimum fair price, the market rate,,

CJDNS is the underlying protocol of the Hyperboria project. Hyperboria has the aim of escaping the current Internet by creating a new one that only temporarily runs over the same conduits. I think they eventually want to have a comletely independent infrastructure via P2P interactions (phones, wifi, etc.) I can't speak to the math, sadly, but the goal is to build a new Internet, so payment would be in the form of success rather than material gain. That's not for everyone, of course.
