So, I'm about to buy a raspberry pi 3 b+. what's some hardware I can add to it?
Fred Nurk · 2019-02-02 01:51
well, a screen and a keyboard, for starters you might want to buy a nice case.

Debbie Charteris · 2019-02-02 05:54
there's nothing much to add to it other than a screen and a case I think
Mentat · 2019-02-02 05:55
screen, keyboard, cooling solution, case, alternative inputs like light sensor/microphone/actual webcam why are you buying it if you don't have any clue what you might do with it?

Could add a USB SNES controller for some sweet times. to be honest the best thing about it is just having a totally silent small computer experience, can get your amateur programming on without all the fan noise of a full size PC. Same about emulation and all that. Also not hardware, but can recommend getting the lite Raspbian image and adding on top of that instead of getting the all-included one. Feels much more responsive running fluxbox instead of whatever the default is.

Just adding a note of something I just found out, since 3B+ you can actually use a USB stick instead of microSD OOTB. Most peeps more likely to have one laying around, and tend to be just a nudge cheaper. >>15747 The 3B+ has wifi already baked in though.
