Hey lains, Best tablet these days? I just want something for browsing the internet and general usage, but haven't owned a tablet since the original Nexus. What are the best options these days? Opinions appreciated.

I would say the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. It's no powerhouse, but for general usage it is a pretty a good option.

The ThinkPad X220 has a nice tablet version that detaches from the keyboard. You can get one in fantastic condition (used) for like, $50 on Ebay

Kindle Fire HD 8 is nice and cheap, root it with Android and such

>>14532 >>14581 >$50 looks like its possible if you get lucky with an auction. 'buy it now' prices are around $150-$250.

>>14588 You do get people who just assume their old soykaf is worthless and offer it for way below market price right away. Setting up email alerts for stuff you want is helpful. I once got a fully functional N900 for $15 buy it now. Seller even said "thanks for buying it so quickly!!! XD", I was like no, thank you for doing zero research before selling.

iPad

>>14611 This is why I love Craigslist. Although you also get the inverse situation where some old-timer thinks their mass market desktop bundle is worth basically what they paid for it in 2004.

yo, I suggest you get a hyper slip laptop w/ or w/out touchscreen. It could do a lot more y'know!

Get an x220 tablet, I bought one a couple months ago and its great.

>>14516 I have one, the biggest issue I have with it is that your phone can do anything it can do better and it's storage space is really small, I don't even have that many apps on it and it's already full, but if you need something to play some youtube or netflix and maybe some non resource demanding games then it will probably do you good.

>>14637 same, wanted a tablet for around 400, but no android based one seemed useful except one galaxy tab which was more expensive. got the ipad with the pen and it has been a great help for taking notes. not super happy with having iOS but ohwell
Cowboy · 2019-05-16 07:02
