A quick question qll. I have a CD stereo player. I have a CRT TV monitor. +VHS-Player I heard a rumour when I was a kid that if you place your bank card on top of your VHS player or on top of your CRT, like putting your wallet there, would fry your bank cards. Since it is ruled by magnets, wouldn't it be possible that the magnetic field might damage the interal circuitry by induction on inductors? And since CDs also are a magnetic medium, would it be unsmart to place it beneath the VHS or CRT TV monitor?

CDs are optical, not magnetic.

>>552 Shiiiet, I mixed them together with HDDs then. My bad. But then, the VHS tapes are magnetic. Couldn't the CRT affect the tapes?

>>554 How many people in the 80's do you think haphazardly lay VHS tapes on top of the family TV? If this was a problem would you not have heard something about it?

>>556 That's true. And mostly they were also kept in drawers right under the TV.... I'll admit that I'm stoned and drunk right now, so you might understand why I lost touch a bit. Thank you for your informative answers though, the both of you. Cheers and hugs, my fellows.
