I have been thinking about this for while and only just become motivated (intoxicated) enough to bring it up. I'm too dumb to do it myself but I think someone with the skill may like it, this is a proof of concept thing. Ever since I found Terry Davis and his TempleOS I have been drawn to the idea of occult technology, and basically anything occult that isn't dumb new age cum eating forest. What I have in mind is a sort of pocket resource for occultists, preferably highly customisable and open source for individual beliefs, aesthetics and goals.
Basically I want more of a merge between tech and occultism because the occult is low functioning schizo (dumb magic trick) and Tech is too autistic and sterile (imo). I have no idea how it would be done or if it would be worth it. I realise I won't be able to do it so I post this in case someone will like it

The main thing I thought of would be Bluetooth connection to a 'true random' number generator running off muons, cosmic background radiation or whatever. You can look up how to diy one, and it would be a simple matter to hook it up to Bluetooth. This could power Terry Davis's hymn creator, or God communicator. You could even modify the literature input/dictionary to 'talk' to different entities, also a coin toss or dice
This would fall under a 'creatives' category, alongside potentially an AI for illustrations or sigil creation, idk if that would be possible or too big. A background mantra, prayer or chant repeater for manifestation, maybe linked to the same thing as randonautica.
The second category would be 'resources', things like dictionaries, gematria, dream recorders, EMF capability, literature/theory. You of course would be able to customise whatever literature there is to suit your field. Anyway that's all I can think of ATM

I actually started thinking about a sigil creation piece of software yesterday, funny to find this post here now. I was imagining something in a terminal UI (ncurses style) with rules that could let you generate sigils to your specifications in ASCII art. If it generates following set rules you could easily hook it up to a randomizer.
A more rudimentary thing I’m working on currently is to get random quotes to display in areas where I want them such as my desktop or when I initialize a terminal. Part of the reason for ASCII art sigils is to be able to put them in the pool from which text is selected. (The code is very basic, it’s my first rust project - You can run the program with a single argument, a directory, from which a random text file is selected and returned to stdout. This should enable use in all kinds of scripts.)
I’m also thinking about an ncurses style tarot reader, but this would only be able to display text-based cards. If the backend is made flexible you should be able to define your own decks - a graphical frontend could then be used to do readings with any deck you want and any spread you would like to define.
Of course you could theoretically feed each of these with whatever random number generation you might want.

Please do not attempt to to do magic with computers. Drawing a circle of salt around the Gibson, laser etching the tetragramaton into the side panels, and charging crystals by jerking off under a blood moon isn't going to lead to anything good. There isn't anything there for you. It can be fun in like an academic sense but it boils down to retardation and woo in all cases. Stick to playing Shin Megami Tensei unless you're trying to induce schizophrenia on yourself.

Somehow aliens are part of the mix too. I think the nukes and Jack Parsons pissed them off. Personal opinion is they come from the ocean. Most major scientist were some kind of occultist. Technology and medicine (considering 90% of people have no idea how it works) may as well be considered sorcery.
Im with the 40k approach of killing sorcerors and aliens on sight. The thought fills me with unexplainable bloodlust.

A ring oscillator circuit will produce random numbers that are just as random and just as derived from quantum mechanics or whatever. https://web.archive.org/web/20160304185717/http://cacr.uwaterloo.ca/~dstinson/papers/rng-IEEE.pdf

It would be nice if this were true in practice, but in reality the modern practices of science and occultism are very different. Most self-proclaimed occultists today are almost totally ignorant of basic scientific principles and vice-versa.

they are really the same methods but with different paths. magick is simple(x) and can be described as willingly changing the brain. in science you expirement to find the behaviour of things. both are really just a matter of what things there are and if it does it again. it seems op thinks the occult is some secret voodoo satanic goat fuarrrk party when in reality its just as "real" as science. the cosmic energy is not drawn from holiness but our own intuition, so you can say we are our holiness and not some technological metaphysical clisterfuck

that is seemingly true if you look a history but when you study the corpus hermeticum you see where the break happened, hermeticism affirms that the matter is made of four elements (fire, water ,earth and wind) so if anything, it has no truth to it, best you can find is a source of inspiration for explaining the nature of nature. while the disconnection did in fact happen, it does not mean that religion and the study of natural sciences are in opposition to each other. the study of the natural sciences led to the refutation of hermeticism (which people often associate with magic and is part of the occult philosophy) but that does not automatically mean it refuted all the other religions in existence. the study of natural sciences and a religion in particular are like a couple, they may die married or divorce before that happens due to a disagreement.
nothing stops you from using a refuted religion or philosophy as inspiration to form a new theory that shares SOME, not ALL elements with the refuted religion or philosophy, though, but i insist, that does not validate a particular religion or philosophy in any way

magick is all about control, so are cybernetics
as more about the mystery is revealed to you, you go up the hierarchy. and the final secret of the illuminati is the eye in the triangle.
same with computers. dumbasses type away all day and produce nothing but bloat. whereas if you use the computer as a feedback loop for your own mind, you actually get somewhere. at some point the mind and machine become like a mobius strip. then you can meta-program the human nervous system with the aid of prosthetic. networked brain.
computers are already magick filing cabinets. you write an incantation and literally whatever you can dream up becomes a reality right in front of you, if you go high-level (holy) or low-level (daemons) enough.
there's good things going on in this field, just most people are stuck in the medieval dark ages, are computer illiterate, and waste energy 6 gorillion gigahertz to play candy crush. GPT-Techgnosis by Alley Faint Wurds is a good one. Also look up "Spherical Encryption" http://www.neilsloane.com/packings/index.html and then consider that AT&T paid him to design that, and they designed C and are in bed with the NSA (control systems).
whatever you make will be for you, to help you get gKnowledge. let that be enough, why do people come on here and soykaf up every thread jfc. a good exercise might be to work out the correspondances in The Equinox 777 and program a way to catalogue, access, and traverse them according to whatever standards you think are best for presentation. keepsilence.org did a good job at this. make your own little index of things. imagine those persian dudes with 'magic squares' and how they would go absolutely hog absolutely wild on a piece of silicon.
>muh classical elements debate
obligatory cause i'm talking to fuWARKing middle schoolers here who think they have life figured out apparently the scientific method is one method (among others) for determining facts about reality -- what's 'real' is determined by the observer and is limited to the instrument "human nervous system" which is necessarily involves the same way "microscope" is included in 'scientific observation'
whatever program you're running on is true. i can get to the gnosis faster by accepting the terms of 5 elements theory because it is a mental model that allows you to shape your own conscious world-view and collapse it back into itself (the 5 elements dissolve back into Purush, thus dis-affirming the reality as determined by the 5 senses and mind and opening the intuitive faculties). Dr. Timothy Leary PhD maps that theory onto the periodic table of elements rather eloquently in his software patch, "The Game of Life".
> SMT LARP XD i pwn j00 n00b!!
they were on some real soykaf, maybe figure out something about your own mind one day, like, how it works? just a thought

I remember Hagbard Celine ran in his submarine an i-ching algorithm fed with all the information from the world, from metereological data to global news. Maybe we can get chatgpt to read us a tarot spread Present Day, Present Time! AHAHAHAHAHA!
How would you harness "true" randomness in your workflow? Sure, we use it for our encryption algorithms, but we don't ever think about that, perhaps the etymological coincidence isn't so accidental.
Ever since always groups have formed around some technique and developed their own vocabulary, which was a sort of dark art, some sorcery that was forbidden to the public, not by strict rule but by the obscurity of it's theory. The pythagoreans were one such group*, which are now often pointed to as pioneers of the western occult tradition.
* so argues Sir T.L. Heath

I'm all in for this. The old texts described creating astral temples inside our heads for storing information and performing remote-rituals, but now we have these tools to bring more magick to the Earth! Haha! Creating a custom interface to interact with and create a virtual workstation for magick is a fantastic idea, totally compatible with Chaos Magick.

Leading an interesting life is its own reward.

Every form of divination I can think of uses a human as source of entropy whether it's shuffling the tarot, casting bones, reading tea leaves, or drawing sticks. I think God talk on TempleOS used the hardware clock timestamp of keystrokes

I think OP is not being quite willfully cynical as that, but pointing out a real limitation and wondering how to overcome it:
>I want more of a merge between tech and occultism because the occult is low functioning schizo (dumb magic trick) and Tech is too autistic and sterile (imo)
The limitation is that most of us have been strongly inoculated against the sort of changes to the mind conventional occult practice entails, that is, even when trying to choose to imagine and take something seriously, it's too much against the grain.
The obvious way around this imo is to deal in imaginative territory that can be adjusted without a fight, or where adjustment can easily be powered with existing pressures. As an example I would like to put forward the following claim: the largest and most influential series of tech-occult workings in recent memory are cryptocurrency (eg. third op image).
