A fully optimised house for health and working out. my ideas? Aside from high tech automation like AI control I can really only think of maybe fused glass skylights so that you can get max sun exposure if you dont have the time to go out or are too lazy to. Cold showers definitely have an effect on the human body, but is it different from a normal ambient cold like from air-conditioned? If not, what constant temperature is best for maximum test production and do you need to change it up every now and again? What does fresh air do, if anything, and should you utilise that somehow? TL:dr: how do I stay in optimal health and shape without having to interact with the outside world

Don't overlook the effect of color temperature of light on humans. High-blue content "cold light" makes you awake and alert, "warm light" is to get down and ready to go to bed in the evening. Aka it stimulates relase of certain neurotransmitters. Through the use CCT "changeable color temperature" light fixtures, this can be adjusted on-the-fly. The skylights in combination with dimmable lights and brightness sensors, can be automated in a way in which the set brightness stays constant even when a cloud passes. CCT makes it so that the change of colour temperature over the course of the day can be also adjusted for (or modified to suite the needs). For the air inside the house, not only temperature but also humidity has to be considered (and controlled) to give optimal comfort. "Fresh air" usually has more oxygen and less pollutants, one wants air conditioning that maximises fresh air, while minimising loss of energy (the outside air has to be cooled / heated, (de-)humidified - all of which takes energy, and a lot of it). Which means cross-flow heat exchangers and stuff like that for the climate system. Usually the systems minimise the amount of fresh air because it takes a damn lot of energy to climatise it to optimum comfort and only use "as much as needed" to reach e.g. a target CO2 level. A more complicated, but more energy efficient system can up the amount of fresh air to increase air quality.

Just go outside. It's free

>>8938 >houseplants >vitamins >cold shock therapy+warm water soaks >light therapy >clean water >open your windows (and let sunlight in) >clean with vinegar not harsh chemicals >evaluate dental care

>>8970 >clean with vinegar Great way to ruin all sorts of plastic surfaces and especially rubber gaskets.

>>8975 I use vinegar as a cleaner all the time and my gasketts are hardly worse for it. It might be more harsh against them perhaps, but hardly so. Also baking soda/Calcium Bicarbonate. Less soluble but more tasty than plain carbonate, but also an excellent cleaner and abbraisive. Great for places with stuck on oils; sinks, bathtubs, and everything else too just about

>>8938 Lainon, I recommend checking out Huberman's vids on the subject of temperature regulation, he's done quite a few: https://youtu.be/pq6WHJzOkno https://youtu.be/xaE9XyMMAHY https://youtu.be/EQ3GjpGq5Y8 https://youtu.be/77CdVSpnUX4 The TL;DR of the first one is no, a cold ambient temperature will provide different benefits from the stress relieving of a cold shower. The key is to train through *acute* stress, even if you eventually get to acute being hours or more, because acute stress can have a recovery period afterwards. Like with a muscle, the recovery period is when all the gainz actually happen; the exercise is just how your body's homeostasis systems learn it needs to beef itself up. Your average urban shoebox dweller is a schizophrenic not necessarily because they're under so much stress, but because almost all of their stress is chronic. There's no recovery period, so they become maladapted, with the neuro equivalent of scar tissue and locked muscles. This is also why the CIA tortures inmates with pop music at gitmo; it turns out that I the Lord your stress am the only stress, and if you've got the patience just keeping someone awake/on edge through sound is just as good as beating them so long as you don't let them rest, which is to say you keep the stress chronic instead of acute. This is also why the video says that your reaction to the experience is a far better indicator of the training you're getting than the temp of the water, above a certain threshold. It's all about your subconscious mental response to the experience. There are, of course other benefits to cold/heat not in the context of cold showers, like those other vids discuss, but I hope this and the video sheds a little light on that subject for you.

You overthink it bro, a healthy house is a living house. Make it all green, have it designed to have plants on every wall and hanging from the ceiling. In addition flowing water channels both to water plants but also as to create a healthy microclimate. Obviously you need lots of sunlight, which as you said is good for you. Eddible plants of all kinds that is, those are not only for food but work as medicine. Also art and color in the background, it does have signifcant effects on the psyche. Lots of light and music too, plants react to it aswell.

>>8938 > Find one calithenic exercise. Build up to it. There's always several stages from beginner to master. Currently training to do hand-stand pushups and it feels much better than powerlifitng or bodybuilding. > Make sure to do some form of logical puzzle each day. Doesn't matter what and it only needs to take 1-2 min. > Yearly bloodworks, dentalcheck every 6 months. > Combination of different nutritions. Focus on high-tier food like kiwi, aroniaberries, blueberries, spinach, broccoli, etc. Not every fruit or vegetable is created equal. > Focus on helping people, but only if you have the energy for it. It is free and if you can do it, then it would be one of the easiest way to happiness. > Respect yourself and in turn, you will respect you. See yourself as lending a body of meat and making sure this body of meat is fully functional.

This is an awesome idea and something I’ve been considering myself, as well. >smart blinds and sunroof that would open up in tandem with the sunrise. >smart temperature control to automatically lower the house temp to 64º when the sun goes down >smart bulbs that slowly dim/filter blue light in tandem with the path of the sun as the day goes on
