Hello Lain.
I come here for advice.
I'm interested in making bone conducting headphones, with the hope of making them waterproof and maybe even submergible. Based on the lainzine number 1, one could make a piezo disc microphone, so I'm interested in using the same principle to make my headphones.
Any advice? Any warnings? Someone who worked on the same project that could enlighten me with some insights?

I own these type of headphones. They aren't silent to other people except at low volume and the sound quality isn't very good unless a fair amount of pressure is pushing them against your temples and even then any other kind of headphone or earbud does better music quality because they are fairly small speakers so maybe use something bigger than earbud size speakers. The use for these speakers is limited to if you have hearing problems or just intend to use it for phone calls as an alternative to headphones with an ambient mode or alternative to noise cancelling headphones for music by putting in silicone or foam earplugs while using them.
If you don't mind mono audio an alternative design can be inspired by an old toy from the late 90s Sound Bites that used bone conducting through your teeth by bitting down it originally came with a sucker but had a plastic plate to use when that was done. Just make it something small enough you can support with your mouth alone and use a counterbalance or so it hooks to caitch a tooth so it doesnt fall out when talking too easily or alternatively if you're not worried on blutooth signals going into your brain make it small enough and water proof to go entirely in your mouth. It may turn your whole head into a speaker though i never tested if other people hear the music when I played with mine as a kid.

Build a neuraphone instead. Bone conducting headphones sound corporate and gay.

What the fuarrrk is a neuraphone? Sending electric signals to the ears to be picked up by the brain as audio? Sounds risky.

Did OP die? Why abandon your thread? I was curious what route you were going to take if my suggestions did any good or not.

I am actually really interested in bone conduction headphones, my ears are getting older and biking would be easier

ears getting older = tissue turns less elastic which impairs the sensitivity to weaker vibrations aka low sound. Whether sound is conducted by your ear or your bone wont affect this. Now it might be not aging but you blew out a specific range partying, you can just download some hearing test software to check your range. You can then use that profile to boost the range you hear worse.
