Let's discuss here all decentralized automatic manufacturing technologies you know.
3D printing is the best example but, if you know better feel free to post.
Especially stuff regarding electronics and/or furniture, since regular 3D printing is not still very useful on that stuff...

I want to get a 3d printer but i also want to be a writer and a poet, im already a poet i guess, im just living like a hypocrite because i am afraid

Get informed, then we can discuss
There was already a 3d printing thread >>4023

Aquaponics is an actual thing. A local rental I have been working on for the owner had a large aquaponics setup that used tilapia in massive plastic bins to fertilize a hydroponics cannabis indoor grow.

Plan on getting an Ender3 soon. Will tell you how it goes. Hoping it sparks a tad more creativity in me.

OpenBuilds has a bunch of CNC machines which you can construct and run.
CNC is far from automatic in the same way 3D printers are, however.

With CNC and metalworking, one thing that I think people undervalue is that they don't need to own machinery themselves to get good use out of it. The fact that CNC machines are cheap, but not cheap enough for most hobbyists to just by, still means that there are a bunch of shops that will print anything you want for a low price. You send them files, they give you a quote, you buy it, they make it and send it to you. This goes for CNC, sheet metal manufacturing, and even PCB printing, PCB assembly, and 3d printing. There are even websites where you do it all in one step, you just upload the files and order and pay online and then wait for them to ship it to you. Now this isn't 'true' decentralization, but it's so close that it basically is, we're still able to make anything we want in a relatively decentralized manner, as long as those shops stay independent or the prices of the technologies keep decreasing.

Try the Ender 3 (165 USD). Now if only I could rely on the post office to deliver it without delays. I want to get to making sooner rather than later.
