Any blues fans here?

Not personally into it but I dig the build. Did you make that yourself or have you made one before? What's the tonal difference?

Huh there's one at a junk store near me, I didn't really know what it was, should I pick it up?

I'm thinking about making a Δ electric instrument, but I'm not sure about some aspects of it. Should I screw the pieces of wood together or is just glue enough? Is it alright to use just any type of wood or do I have to get one of the ones that are used traditionally? I first wanted to use electromagnetic pickups, but after finding out how much it will cost to make/buy them I've decided to use a piezoelectric pickup (pic related) mounted on the body of the instrument. However, I am worried that the vibrations would be too shallow for the pickup to detect or that the low voltage would get lost because of energetic losses or interference. Am I true or do I need not worry?
