Seed Swap?

BulaBulaBula · 2020-11-16 13:59
Any lain interested in doing a seed swap?
Ishikura "Tatsu" Tatsuhiko · 2020-11-16 14:03
I hope this is for the garden and not some other kind of seed.
BulaBulaBula · 2020-11-16 14:06
>>5571 Yes, gardening.
Joe Bloggs · 2020-11-16 14:28
>>5572 Gardening marijuana
BulaBulaBula · 2020-11-16 14:38
>>5573 that too. Every plant is welcome. I have trees seeds, vegetable seeds, magic plants seeds etc etc. What about you? What do lains like to grow?
William Holtzer · 2020-11-16 16:31
>>5570 I don't have any valuable seeds to be honest, unless you're interested in inbred pepper or inbred tomatoes.
BulaBulaBula · 2020-11-16 16:39
>>5576 my definition of value seems to be different from yours. I'd like to try growing some inbred peppers or tomatoes. I like the idea of growing and saving seeds that came to me through unusual ways, idk. Even random seeds would be fine to me. What would you like to recieve?
Donna Hawthorne · 2020-11-16 17:06
>>5577 >Even random seeds would be fine to me. What would you like to recieve? Useful plants I'll be able to grow in my flat/balcony. The seeds of the pepper are 4th generation inbreeds, low fertility is expected. If I get this to 17th generation, it will be a laboratory strain. But I don't know if sending the seeds will be worth it - international packages/mails tend to be really expensive.
BulaBulaBula · 2020-11-16 17:28
>>5578 I was thinking more about classic mail, like the oldschool paper one, with stamp an' all. Shouldnt be too priceful, or would it?
Mentat · 2020-11-16 22:34
>>5579 >I was thinking more about classic mail, like the oldschool paper one, with stamp an' all. Shouldnt be too priceful, or would it? It depends on where you are, but once I saw 50$ for a mail from the USA, but it might be just one retarded post service company. If it's cheap I could also send you some seeds of local plants growing here (if that's legal).
William Holtzer · 2020-11-16 23:47
Anyone have kudzu seeds?
Miho Iwakura · 2020-11-17 00:57
Wouldn't there be a postal problem, when customs sees an envelope full of seed they'll start to panic and think we're trying to take down the agricultural system.
BulaBulaBula · 2020-11-17 14:57
>>5585 I mean.. on this board there is more than one thread about buying drugs and getting it shipped to you and here you are in this innocent seed-swapping thread pondering about the risks?
Unidentified · 2020-11-17 15:03
>>5583 Don't be retarded, mail doesn't cost that much. A letter only costs you 50 cents. There are rules about sending certain things internationally, what with diseases and such. I highly doubt that you will be able to send marijuana seeds through the USPS though.
Roger Pollack · 2020-11-17 15:12
>>5584 >not today USDA This sounds like a bad idea >>5585 There were many unsolicited chinese seed shipments that went out over the last few months, If it was in fact solicited, they would have a hard time trying to stop it, especially if it was personal mail with a letter associated with it. That being said, you cant exactly trust random people on the internet. I could see this going wrong if someone sends coca seeds for the lulz.
BulaBulaBula · 2020-11-17 15:16
>>5589 ok now i don't want to get this thread derailed on all the details about it but some seeds can be owned for "collecting" in many countries but it's illegal to germinate them. The fact is, seedswapping by mail is already a thing and almost no one had troubles with it. If some Lainon is willing to, i would like to try swapping.
Incognito · 2020-11-18 02:02
>>5585 Try mixing the seeds together, let them try to find which are the "legal" ones or not. >>5589 Can probably get kudzu from Japan. Easier to ship if it has a fake label.
Agent Richard Gill · 2020-11-20 14:05
Yesterday I harvested some zinnia seeds from my garden.
Yuki Nagato · 2020-11-20 17:55
>>5595 I have seen countless forests decimated by invasive kudzu. I would really have to find a reason why someone would want it outside an extremely controlled environment.
Dr. X · 2020-11-20 20:39
>>5643 Kudzu is an edible perennial legume that grows well in temperate and subtropical climates. It's extremely drought tolerant and resistant to disease and pests. It both fertilizes the soil and provides an edible root starch as food, and its leaves are usable as forage. If you harvest it often or grow it in an area with a cold winter, its rapid growth is actually a good thing. It was grown by the USDA since before the 1930s, the fact they can't manage it competently isn't a surprise.
Dujour · 2020-11-20 23:19
also looking to swap seed mouth to mouth
Incognito · 2021-02-05 07:22
I have a variety of interesting seeds, I have a very big garden but nothing you can't just buy online, but I would love some kudzu seeds if anyone has some seeds or cuttings of kudzu that could be rooted, maybe I could send some packs of kuri squash or Mongolian giant sunflower, two of my favourites. If you have kudzu and want to trade please email me avonti908@outlook.com
Mitnick · 2021-02-05 09:04
>>5571 I unironically thought it was about torrenting until I entered the thread.
Need to go out more.
Erik Johansson · 2021-02-05 12:59
I'd love to,but I fear sharing my address. Any workarounds for that? oh and I'd fear getting poisonous strawberries or horrortrip weed
Nemissa · 2021-02-06 00:07
>>6201 maybe have a middle man in on it, or have it sent to a Post box or well known location?
Zhora · 2021-02-06 03:12
>>5570 Ah, yes! We shall swap seeds! First, I you shall give me your seed. Then! I will give you my seed!
poopoopeepee · 2021-04-17 09:32
>>6201 Is there any way to assess the plant seed without planting it beyond just looking at it?
Debbie Charteris · 2021-04-23 17:33
>>6201 A P.O box is a good work around.
Morpheus · 2021-04-25 19:33
I would love to be the man in the middle during the seed swap. Seed just coming in from both ends.
muxr · 2021-04-29 20:25
>>5574 have you sprouted tree seeds? I tried a ton but was never able to make it work
Liet Kynes · 2021-05-03 22:19
I'd say the best way to exchange contacts would be to use a friends address and to also let the lainon know you are using a friends address. I think that'd probably work best.
Trinity · 2021-05-15 16:26
>>6637 bro wtf
Bob Arctor · 2021-08-18 20:25
I need it, I want it. Does anyone have seeds of or live where Sedum caeruleum grows? I can send you seeds of some Central European species in exchange.
Crash Override · 2021-09-24 12:20
Ok I got an idea It's like tinder right? First you check out each other's profiles including general location, climate, crop types and so on. Probably with filters to not show you people in places you aren't willing to ship to and so on. Maybe even a chat option. Then if you like the shape of their melons or or the size of their eggplants you can swipe right and if you get a match, you get each others addresses and can proceed to swap seed.
