personal cloud vpn

I am struggling with setting up a private vpn and maybe someone here has answers. I set up a hosted virtual server with openvpn and a second to host the CA. I set openvpn up to pass the subnet of the devices behind my OPNSense firewall/router to the vpn since it's going to just be me accessing it and perhaps some friends and family. Though I will probably run a second instance for them and just NAT all my devices behind the VPNs tun adapter anyway. My issue is that all my home devices on the 10.0.0.0 network can see, ping and ssh to the devices on the vpn 10.8.0.0. However nothing on the vpn can see my personal network. I could forward the ip packets from my router to said device for now since I won't be at this location much longer and will need to ssh into certain devices here. If nobody can help that's fine. I will ask in a few other places and keep trying.

This issue was resolved, it was a firewall rule. I had made one and assigned it to the LAN interface, but not the VPN tun interface. I will post more about this project as I go along and eventually start hosting public services for all my lainions and other brethren. Once I have the framework set I want to make a repo and scripts to deploy this infrastructure instantly so that we can create a large scale neural network.
