I have been repairing our houses broken washer, and have been finding how many simple problems can be fixed on your own. For example we have a maytage like washer originally thought that it was either the coupler or the inlet valve, but after taking it apart I'm thinking something went through the inlet valve and is stuck in the outlet. Curious about any other lanions who are working on fixing/modding any home appliances

Definitely been modding a number of old glass tube TVs, but that's been a long-standing hobby. Other than that, I have gotten about halfway through a gizmo to put on my oven that will make a huge racket if my roommate leaves the broiler on overnight again... Can't be burning down the house!

In the times of Internet, with some tools and minimum ability you could do lots of things by yourself.
