Ideas for a Brain Computer Interface project

Judge Fang · 2019-06-07 14:26
I managed to get one of these for a few bucks from a friend. It's the old 8-bit version that was sold at the Kickstarter campaign in 2014. I have no experience with BCI stuff and I don't know what would be a feasible project for the hardware. Do you have any ideas?

Use it to control eye movement and blinking in VRChat.

>>3202 some college students used one of these to operate a drone. Just basic commands like up, down, forwand and back. I'm not sure which model of openbci they used. https://www.cbc.ca/radio/day6/mueller-report-saving-lives-in-mozambique-new-zealand-s-haka-myspace-megafail-cory-doctorow-and-more-1.5066299/how-four-edmonton-university-students-built-a-mind-controlled-drone-1.5066314

>>3206 Actually, it could generally be used to digitize face gestures like laughing for example. But can the device read Brainwaves like that?

I remember the $.99 Only stores around here having the Jedi Force Trainer 2 for US$10 The headset was essentially a bluetooth 4.0 single-electrode system that I _think_ was limited to single-axis reporting. I know that you could use it outside the game app with some software from the company, but I don't know about an API or other soykafe.

Cool find, i wish i get my hands on a bci and vr set one day. Anyhoot ive no idea how to work such a thing, but can you read certain datasets, such as say colors or shapes or sounds?

Tech assisted telepathy device. There has been several built before with promising results.

>>3202 Ya know, It would be great to use this as an HID for a computer. Like a brainwave controlled keyboard. If its possible with this hardware.

I'm currently very interested in this topic. Does someone of you build actually an application with this? My current idea for a hobby project would be to build its own EEG to measure my brain while i am thinking stuff. This signals will be recorded and used as training data for a neuronal network to classifiy my thoughts correctly. Could be a start.

>>5874 >Sell if for big moneys for nofap november? shouldnt be that hard hehe >If you have focused thoughts, you could probably do a cursor, but I think that trying to type and scroll at the same time might not work gud i think this is depending on how noise robust your system is, problem is that you have so many other thoughts nearby
