/Courtship/ - How 2 Romance

Are there any good Guides I can use to build Romance?

Dating did not start in the 20th century, and much like flirting, courting is just masking your real personality through a mask of bullshit in order to attract a partner, is just a reproductive strategy humans have in their DNA, it's not an intellectualy and morally superior form of love, it's rape's first cousin and just as old.
Son, when two people love each other a lot, they wanna cum very hard on one another, not receive flowers.
Aristóteles Amadópulus · 2025-05-08 15:33
you gotta play up the girls who already are interested, its a fools errand to try to convince girls who show no interest to show some.
Nguoi La · 2025-05-08 16:09

and dont just play them up because they interested, but discern if they are worth your time and really interest you. dont just try to bag women for the sake of your capacity to bag them, but learn to use your ability to bag broads constructively. too many men settling for whatever will get wet for them.

Unless you have common interests and values with a woman, it's a waste of time to pursue romance. Just build up a friendship and let it blossom into a romance if the conditions are just right. Most people force romance with all of these contrived rules about dating, courtship and all that nonsense and have it blow up in their face by means of a the relationship growing stale and breaking up, having an especially bad breakup or marrying someone they don't love.
The best way to avoid that unnecessary drama like that is to not throw yourselves to wolves. There's enough actual problems in life to deal with and the company of true friends is better than that of a false lover.

I find it interesting how marriage vows include promise to love, that this is not assumed from the start but it something you can do and should do perhaps later.
Of course there's trouble getting some woman to consent to take such vows

>If we’ve learned anything from the romantic-comedy genre, it’s that most guys don’t like girls who play games. These days, there may be a lot more games to choose from, but the same Rule still applies. You might think it’s harmless to start a round of Draw Something with that cutie from chemistry. Maybe you’re curious just how big his, um, vocabulary is and decide that a few rounds of Words with Friends might be the best test. But as you already know, a girl should never make the first move—even if that move involves a computerized letter tile. Just as with flirting and texting, it’s always best to wait for him to show you that he’s interested, and you should never initiate a mobile game. In fact, the best advice we can give here is to avoid playing games altogether—that is, phone games. A Rules Girl doesn’t waste time with Scramble—she’s too busy with her life away from her phone and making dates with the guys who are actually asking! If a guy wants to get your attention, he can call you, text you, or ask you out.

Honest take from my own experience. Married anon reporting in.
If you are a virgin, get this out of the way already:
>drop the immaculate princess act
>fuarrrk a dirty paid whore
>keep doing this until you don't absolutely suck at sex
>experience the mystery fading away as you realize you're literally just putting a part of your body inside another person's body
>yes, in terms of sensations it feels very similar with all women
>the only variable lacking here is affection, so proceed to the next part
If you're not a virgin:
>desensitize yourself about women
>they are literally walking meat golems like everybody else, they soykaf, they pick their noses, they puke, they fart and they are fuarrrking gross like every mammal on this planet
>learn how to make small talk to women
>talking with women is much more about listening to their thing
>no need to engage too much, just keep track of the conversation and give mild feedback
>your fantasies and personal frustrations don't matter, be completely objective about the person you're dealing with
>pay a lot of attention to their non-verbal communication, which is huge in dating
>everything about most women requires foreplay, from casual conversation to sex, you must pass through their barriers as long as she gains trust over you
>learn to warm them up before advancing, gain territory (in her concept) gradually, from the first touch in her elbow to actual steamy sex
>if you're an autistic social potato, study social engineering and non-verbal communication, build your mental framework and asses your variables
>workout to build a confident masculine character, not to obsess about body image bullshit or to compete with other men, which will get you distracted from your social build
>don't act like a hypervigilant sentinel, that freaks them out (the good ones, masochistic daddy issues sluts prefers sociopathic men, and you don't want to deal with those bitches)
>looking unsuspecting, oblivious, laid back, disarmed is an extremely effective way to disarm them from the start
>finally realize that everything about women, specially the ones you don't know, is about wit
>they admire wit, charisma, confidence, and the trickster abilities, and they are expecting you to entertain them
>be unpredictable: don't entertain them, instead you will outsmart her and leave her on a cliffhanger
>most of them operate under the logic of boredom: if you give her different stimuli, they will submit to you
>it all relies on balancing unsuspecting, indifferent greatness and very developed wit
>the confident manly stud who doesn't care X the witty negotiator
And finally, no, there is no possibility of actually having a heart to heart relationship with women. You will realize this once you fail. It doesn't matter if you think she sees you as the love of her life, if you lose your job, get fat, depressed and fail at life she will dump you or cheat on you. Relationships are about power dynamics. So either you're on top of the situation or she is. Unfortunately, this is extremely toxic, but that's how this works. You could be under a cloud of awe and affection for some time, usually in the beginning of a relationship, but soon enough reality knocks the door and then everything starts looking like investment for both.
Hagbard Celine · 2025-10-14 02:21

It's a noble take overall but the "build friendship and let it blossom" technique never works. There are different ways to be interested in a person, and starting with a friendship is a great way to never actually evolve past this paradigm. But yeah, forcefulness is never good in terms of human interaction.
>>13067
>men are becoming radicalized over lack of female companionship
That is not what radicalizes men and this only confirms how self-centered the female mind has been conditioned to become. Such sense of self importance, and you, femanon or not, replicating the same thing. Things are never quite good for men because society is conditioned to look at an individuals as a parts of some collective they must comply with. So either our lives gravitates around something most people value, or our lives has no value in the eyes of others. Women are okay with that, group mentality stems from them, it is the only way they can defend themselves from men.
Turner · 2025-10-14 10:28

After thinking about it for awhile, you're not wrong with friendship not blossoming into romance often. Still, I do think having some sort of friendship component with the woman you plan on living with and loving is important.
You should be similar enough in terms of values and interests to not actively grate one another with each other's quirks, especially in an era where you have tho do the matchmaking yourself compared to past where your relatives mostly did it.
It's just like anything else: be intentional about the people you want in your life and don't just accept anyone and everyone. I can tell you a lot of the advice here just reeks of male insecurity and just a general lack of something meaningful to say (just like most dating advice although that also reeks of female insecurity too).
Nameless · 2025-10-14 12:25
>>13207
>be intentional about the people you want in your life and don't just accept anyone and everyone
Yes, that is the golden social tidbit. It applies to everything IMO, from family to romantic relationships. It's necessary to live a bit, experience human interactions before deciding what one actually wants, but it's vital that the person knows what they want, not just what they want to avoid.
>male/female insecurity
You see, there's a symbolic schism that impedes us to fathom the feminine and masculine as aspects of the same humanity. This is reinforced by language, over and over again. Men and women are adversaries. That is the biggest problem, the root. The second big problem is that insecurity isn't even a problem to be dealt by the individual. Nobody that lives in society is not insecure. Insecurity just became a mean word to depict someone who is aloof about relationships. Everybody has tons of reasons to mistrust one another because that is the environment we're in, that's the general contingency. We are psyoped, trained to see a shadow in every corner, everyday people reinforcing that just makes things infinitely worse. There is no interest in building environments where well being and mutual trust are priorities. If communities aren't formed, this is only going to get worse. I have a good stable relationship and I still can't say I'm not insecure. She's insecure. We all are. Pointing out insecurities from others is just hypocrisy.
Rick Deckard · 2025-10-14 14:24
kissed a girl for the first time when I was 19, was a fuarrrkboy for a bit, now I'm 27 and engaged.
Some tips for straight men:
1) have something going on in your life. Have dreams, have plans. Make a living. Until you get to this stage, the best you can be is someone's throwaway fling, and that is only if you won the genetic lottery.
2) shower and brush your teeth every day, get a decent haircut, eat healthy, keep your beard under control or shave it, get in decent shape, don't drink excessively, don't smoke -- you don't need to be ripped, but you need to take care of your body. You will 100% regret it in ten years if you don't.
3) Think about the best version of you. Not an ideal version, but a version that actually could exist. What do people like about him? Emulate his behavior.
To actually meet people: either go to a social event or chat up strangers. Don't be shy about starting conversations with strangers; studies consistently show that not only is this beneficial to mental health, it's also almost universally welcomed. That said, you might need to practice if you creep people out. My friends used to joke I had "school shooter vibes". This is something that will get easier the more you go outside and/or have a job. Nowadays I barely think about it.
You should have pretty immediate chemistry once you start chatting someone up, otherwise consider it a polite conversation. Don't ask someone out if they seem like they're just being polite; this especially applies to people that are on the clock, because they will often be extra polite. Also, if you see someone semi-regularly, don't ask them out the first time you talk to them. Give them some time to form an opinion of you first. Most women will try to let you down easy, they might lie about having a boyfriend as a "valid reason" for rejecting you. Don't be offended by this and take the hint.
Dates: do something low-stakes for the first one. You are going to be responsible for planning. Drinks (either coffee or beer depending on the type of person) is a classic. Some girls like it more traditional, they might like dinner and a movie. Again, if it's right, the chemistry will be pretty obvious. You'll both be having a good time. If it goes well, ask her out again at the end of the first date, then plan it later over the phone.
Texting: Keep typing notifications and read receipts off. Don't bother about waiting a certain period of time or double texting. Treat the phone as a way to set up dates and keep in contact, not your primary means of interacting with a person.
In bed: learn oral sex. It's fun, it doesn't depend on your penis size or anything, and for most women it's the most effective way to bring them to orgasm. The best way to learn is practice, you can literally ask "can I practice using my tongue?" before you start and most women will respond positively. If you don't like the smell/taste, get over it.
Most women want to feel sexy and they want to see you get turned on by their body. Turn off your brain and let your dick do the thinking once it comes out, but take heed of how she reacts to what you're doing, and don't assume porn taught you anything.
There are people who will say all of this advice is wrong. They don't know what they are talking about.
Cat Mother · 2025-10-20 05:26
>>13210
In bed: Depends on the smell or taste. If it smells like fish or something you might smell at a refinery then don't taste. Your body is programmed to protect you from these types of things so listen to it if it kicks in.
I'll add: don't date a girl who likes anime, video games, cosplaying, etc. It might seem like a dream to find someone who shares these interests, but she's going to be just like you. She's going to shower every 2 days, not want to wash dishes, not help around the house, have bouts of depression. Find a normal girl who will enjoy these things with you because she is into you.

Don't follow most people's dating advice other than the basic soykaf (take a shower, look presentable, don't be confrontational for no reason, ask questions about her and be willing to share your own experiences/insights,etc).
Everybody's different and everyone has different goals. You don't know the goals of people that post anonymously on an imageboard nor can you guess the life of a chick based off of the soykaf they like. Unless you go crusing around for sex (in which case, getting a prostitute is easier), just be yourself genuinely. Being around people you don't like for no reason is not a virtue.

I guess he wants otaku/gamer nerd gf who is into programming and memes and hates normals and basically is the same as him but has a cute girl body and face. Which unfortunately doesn't exist. The kind of girls most of you fantasize about only exist in anime. In reality even if a girl has some boyish interests and nonconventional lifestyle, they still have the hypergamy that every woman has, and she will not love you if you are a loser. Even if she is exactly the same kind of loser, she will demand a better man, which she will get. There is one exception to this: if she's a hamplanet
Zhora · 2025-10-23 11:48
Either the right things are present, or they aren't.
Most people find that the right elements are missing, and cannot simply be added or faked, nor are there substitutes.
And then people lie, for sexuality, and to use for other things, too.
Relationships are almost always mutually parasitic, and likewise unhealthy, and unfulfilling.
Compatibility is either there, or it isn't.
Same goes for mutuality.

Normal women are overrated (at least in the West) because they really bring nothing to the table and cause more problems than they solve. In more traditional environments, a normal girl would be something akin to a woman with a bunch or some of the skills women traditionally had (animal husbandry, house management, skilled in making food, etc) and would naturally be of higher demand (doubly so because of their looks). But all western women have are their looks and they don't even have a personality to offset their lack of usefulness to their husband, nor do they have any sort of ability to help during rough times more often than not. They're basically dead weight that you fuarrrk.
>>13227
You sound like a genuine incel. I've met tons of cute, normal sized nerdy chicks and chicks into anime, programming , brewing soykafm, vidya or some combination of that soykaf. I even dated one of them (which didn't work out due to her graduating before me and me not wanting to do a long distance relationship).
This is what I mean by dating advise is so soykaf. We have someone that doesn't understand that to have value in a relationship you need to bring something to the table, something most women don't do. And we have a dumbass that's come over from /r9k/ spouting his retarded incel drivel that's so detached from reality that literally going outside will counter 99% of what he's saying. Being "normal" essentially means you treat your relationships (romantic or not) as springboards for your interests. There's no real end goal that results in anything remotely positive for your significant other, spouse and family (if you actually make it to the latter two stages). It's why normal user relationships are so overly emotional and based on feelings rather than mutual cooperation and respect for one another. It's also why normal users go through relationships like shirts and why they most certainly feel empty regardless of what they say (do you really thin that going on multiple dates with multiple girls a week like a fuarrrking job interview is going to inspire good results that will last long?)
Frankly, dating and romance are things you have to approach intentionally and most people do not at all and it shows.

>Being "normal" essentially means you treat your relationships (romantic or not) as springboards for your interests.
This "networking" or "diffusion" dominant mode of function has always boggled the mind and disgusted me. People who naturally and fluidly use everything they're doing as a proxy for something else, ie, they're always pretending to do something while functionally doing multiple other things at the same time. The thing they purport to be doing is just a sham, a vehicle, or as you more concisely put, a springboard. However the term springboard doesn't do justice to how obscene and degenerative these traits are. If you spring off something it remains as it was. They don't do that. They play games, their unconscious minds covertly communicate and signal to each other, and they drag down what they are currently pretending to care about. There is acting in one's own interest, and then there is vampirizing the entire world like a mindless algae bloom. Functional societies put these people in their place and constrain their behavior by force.

It's literally the result of the people that run society deeming that being a corporate whore is the ultimate good. As a result, we've adopted the underhanded methods used in the corporate world in our everyday interactions with other people, which has led to this state of affairs where you can't even trust that your friends are your friends and your wife/gf loves you (which is something rather obvious frankly), which is fuarrrking ridiculous. The gamification of the more intimate social interactions is something thieves do frankly and thieves ought to be put out of their misery.
I make friends and find women so I have to take off the mask I wear for the average stranger, not to wear it even in the most intimate of relationships. A filter so I don't say something retarded sure, but pretending you are something you are not to get pussy is rather pathetic and one of the many reasons why relationships are so fuarrrked nowadays.

How can I convince myself to give up on romance permanently? I truly feel like my life would be much better if I could 100% accept the fact that I will die alone and appreciate life for what it truly is.

The thought of being with someone who thinks life is just work, eat, sleep, fuarrrk, soykaf and watch stupid videos in between is unbareable.

Good post.
One nuance: the last part is probably always true in a relationship that started with mate selection, if you were chosen based on your SMV then of course you will get dumped if you lose it. But if you are lucky enough to experience the relationship upgrade from a close platonic connection into romance you will find that such criteria are secondary to what made the friendship work in the first place

The irony of men who hate normals but also aren't interested in abnormals.
Reality is that almost all normal person-hatred is really self-hatred.
Be free of it, anon.

"Interested"?
More like "experience the demand"; since "interested" reminds me of long-term things like interest rates

it's worked for me a few times and in my experience produces superior relationships.

also all good advice.

it works with anyone. most people want to feel loved in more-or-less the same way everyone else does.
BloodCat · 2026-06-05 13:54
smear a lot of mud on your face and body and your clothes, it makes you look like a guy who spends a lot of time working hard and being out in the wilderness and stuff and women find that very attractive, it's basic hunter-gatherer human instinct. if you've tried this and it didn't work, you probably didn't use enough mud.

>now I'm 27 and engaged.
I'm older then you and nvr dated but haz sex thrice but how do get experience if u haz almost a micro peen?
I can talk to girls just fine but I feel if its too good to be true it usually is and move on (not just wit romance/sex). I actually feel like most chicks cant talk or hold convo very well and leads me to crush on older women (since they can) but 9/10 they are always taken. Young chicks just want you to go out and waste money on food and drinks or go to raves/parties. The constant on phone too which just kills it for me. The last time I hungout with sum1 was pre pandemic. The only people I see irl are customers/clients and my coworkers which all suck lol.

tongue and fingers, my guy.

you're probably artificially increasing your failure rate this way. Sometimes it does just work out.
Basically, unless there are clear red flags or she seems uninterested, you should keep going if you like the girl.
Although at our age, you aren't really dating "girls" any more, most of them are really women. If they're still trying to go out to parties and whatnot then they're very immature for their age.

1. Stop asking random losers online about dating advice. Most of us saw vagina only once in life, during our birth.
2. Take care of yourself. Be clean and somewhat fit.
3. Just be nice and don't act like you act online.
4. Finding your other half is basically just irl gacha so you may fail anyway. It is what it is. You may increase your chances with cash.

You increase your chances of being used going off of cash*
Each girl that was ever crazy about me happened when i was dirt broke week to week. You do not negotiate attraction, you either have it or you do not.

So much negativity in this thread. Just talk to women already? If you have acceptable social skills it's just a gamble whether you get along or not, plus adding time to understand how each other work. It's not that complicated guys.

I've asked myself the same question and I'm almost certain that what I lack is more confidence, and I think the way to achieve it is through exercise, to lose weight and stay active. I feel that a sedentary lifestyle is the worst thing I've done to my body, even worse than smoking.

Surprised at how many people in the thread seem to get it already. Yes, after many years I've found I'm no longer the problem, which I always thought I was, that I had to change myself or do something drastically different; rather I am just very 'niche' so compared to a 'normal' person the overlapping venn diagram of compatibility between myself and a woman is tiny compared to others. I used to beat myself up and think I was useless and unskilled at talking/socialising with others, and that's sort of true to some degree, but I always forget that when I do finally come across someone I can connect with, all that dissipates and we have a great time together and things feel very natural, as they should. It's still easy to forget, it's very rare and difficult that I meet people as such. And usually they're already in relationships when I do. It gives me a little more hope, but equal amounts despair knowing there's not much I can do really, it's just luck, or a numbers game, of exposing myself to enough people to find the right one. Until then I have to settle for friends and my onaholes.
Random · 2026-06-18 09:15
what if romance is just an interest and you gotta find someone who shares your interest? not every woman is romantic just as not every man is. love does not equal romance.
also can you really define romance? it is pretty subjective. so not only you need to find someone that shares your interest, but even shares your opinion on what constitutes romance.
maybe you consider romance as something given because that's how much it entranced you. but in reality other people could have simply been unfazed by it. and it would fit because as a romantic your mind is probably keen to indulge in fantasies.
i won't lose hope; my anime girls are real. sincerely, your local nerd. fuarrrk you.

Once you understand that most relationships exist only out of convenience and not out of genuine care for the other person (or even something high-minded such as duty towards your family or something archaic like that), you really stop caring about it in my opinion.
Normalglitterboyry basically implies you are willing to undermine any sense of uniqueness you have just to play the game. Not to say you should be a schizophrenic loser, but I'm comfortable being alone if it means being myself. I'd rather have friends and a woman that like me for me, not some mask I put on to interact with them but with a filter so I'm still myself but the best version of that man.
I still hold prostitution is the best alternative to finding true love at best or at least some sort of marriage arrangement where you have some social obligations to your God, family and community rather than the rootless simulacrum where you just play a game for a chance at puss (or dick if your a woman). At least there's no confusing it with anything but carnal appetites.

I'm more likely to believe the fact that women outright state earning 6 figures is a requirement for dating her and the fact that most men flaunt having wealth to get pussy than some random person on the Internet.
Crazy Jake · 2026-06-19 11:44

Funny, because I've literally never seen a woman state that she demands 6 figure salary. It's also very rare to see someone explicitly say she needs someone over 6 foot.
Like yeah, obviously these things help, but poor, short people fall in love all the time. Why do you think there are so many Filipinos?

>Funny, because I've literally never seen a woman state that she demands 6 figure salary. It's also very rare to see someone explicitly say she needs someone over 6 foot.
I see all the time where I live, not even to me personally but to people I see around me. There's a reason why personal anecdotes are pretty useless in trying to talk about general trends: it depends on so many variables that changing one can make it true or false.
>Like yeah, obviously these things help, but poor, short people fall in love all the time.
Because they aren't spoiled for choice and have to pick from the people around them for a significant other. If you live in some small village in Southern Greece, you don't have the same choosing power in this matter compared to people in a medium to large American city, who literally use dating apps to go through dozens and dozens of people per day for a "match".
>Why do you think there are so many Filipinos?
See above. Also Filipinos are pretty congenial on the whole. Not to say they don't have their mean-spirited retards, but not getting along with a Filipino is generally a sign that you are kind of a cunt.
