Using an ice block to keep a soykaf laptop cool while installing a new OS.
What are your methods to keep your laptops going when you can't decrease the workload? Would love to hear something on the topic of outside fans with heat sinks and other ways to keep the temperature down constantly. (not using ice blocks lol) Maybe modifications to the whole cooling system inside ith replacement parts.

What's wrong with ice blocks? I've used them during heat waves before.

Bad idea but i used a gel pad over where it felt hot. It built up condensation then i forgot about the pad and mold grew there and ate through the plastic on the surface a bit.
But even just a cheap fan pad works. The only issue is some vibrate. Could in theory use it with dry ice in a tub covered with tubes coming out for the vapour to be directed to the fans so not too much comes out at once making you pass out or die.

I use the advanced, high tech method I read about in a scientific journal called blowing a fan on it.
