Bugs, cameras and spy hardware

Dear Lain, how to DIY bugs (audio recording devices) and camera devices at my house from electronic scraps? For example, I have tons of old: >circuit boards >mics and webcams >wiring of all sorts >hard drives Unfortunately l also have: >almost zero experience with electronics I intend to study it seriously since I've bought the Art of Electronics, Horowitz, and a basic electronic kit. But I'm very much stumped and dense. Can someone help me?(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST, You should always elaborate on your opinions rather than just spilling the soykaf.)

Just use off the shelf equipment like a small microphone and focus on plausible disguises and camouflage for them. Anything bluetooth or wireless can be a dead give away, but other than that you'll have to retrieve the bug yourself to access any data it collected.

Those things are not very expensive to buy so not sure it's even worth DIYing particularly if you dont have skill required to do the more difficult surface mounted parts to make something more compact. To me a more interesting use of those parts would be a 3D camera or 3D scanner.

Try learning soldering, and googling as much as you can about your stuff. Find the models of stuff you got and how people before you have already modified them. Those people exist all over the place. >I intend to study it seriously since I've bought the Art of Electronics, Horowitz, and a basic electronic kit. Remember: When in doubt, google it >Can someone help me? If you find a good forum, for a more specific EE topic, try asking there, while being specific, and you'll prolly get pretty good help

>>11255 >almost zero experience with electronics >buys The Art of Electronics I wouldn't recommend that book to anyone that hasn't a solid experience with electronics. The way I started was to search easy electronics projects on the internet and following guides. You'll soon enough find yourself in a rabbit hole. Have fun!

>>11258 >>11259 It's more like a domestic security measure rather than spying itself, so there's no problem if the result gets a little chunky of if I had to get the bug afterwards. If I actually manage to make it work, would be a hell of a start. I know buying is an option, but making it would be a very neat experience for me. >>11260 >>11262 My sincere thanks to you, Lainons.

>>11263 If it is for security then it is better to wire them in physically, ideally since wireless connections arent reliable and can be jammed by a wifi deauthenticator.

>>11255 >Art of Electronics Keep this book for a while, it's not an entry level book. I would recommend these books series: https://www.ibiblio.org/kuphaldt/electricCircuits/ What I most like about it, author uses SPICE model as examples.
