How can I buy Japanese novels as someone living in Europe without getting cucked by the amazon.jp 150% shipping fee? Manga too, or anything for that matter.

Just look for them in pdf and print them on A5 sheets, it's cheaper and it's almost the same effect

>10615 I just get mine off nyaa.si and put em on a massive vertical monitor for max degeneracy. Way better than physical books. Physical objects distract you from actually enjoying the hobby due to the collection aspect. I know this because I used to own a soykafload of NES and SNES games and I ended up playing them way less than emulator games- just looking for the next purchase to scratch the itch.

Physical objects do not distract me. Textbooks on screen & fiction on paper is the unwritten rule. I looked at torrent sites as a last resort before writing this. Everything I'm looking for either does not exist or has no seeders.

>>10614 Depending on what country you live there might be a local import store. Otherwise there are proxy services, you can sometimes get a whole series or a good chunk for 20-30$+shipping, and you can add other stuff to make the shipping more worth it.

>>10618 >Textbook on screen & fiction on paper I do the complete opposite, it takes much less effort to pick up a book and study, I wouldn't mind reading fiction on physical books but a lot of it is really short and I rarely reread books

>>10614 Kindle is a good approach, and the device's built in dictionary function is really good. The DRM can be broken if you care.

I need to get back into Japanese novels, but I just use Mihon on android way more portable than books

>Not pirating scanlations for manga, i.e. most expensive hobby ever. May as well shoot up fent while also getting into building your own racing engine >Complains about shipping fee being nine dollars instead of six dollars For real? You're already burning a massive pile of cash, and you're going to gripe about paying a slight increase on shipping from the other side of the planet

Old thread but you use a reshipper but it is still costly to import stuff from Japan. To make it worth it you need to buy a good amount of things in a single purchase.
