I need me one of these. LIke I would actually buy one.
Anyone know something similar I can get? I love the idea of a portable mini-home. I won't need the armor or the tracks, but everything else is perfect.

fuarrrk, I accidentally created a new thread instead of replying to the bike one. I forgot the password.

its a 4cyl that gets 18 MPG

it only has tracks though, like what do you mean? Trying to convert it to not have tracks?
Why not just get a motorcycle

that's a kettenkrad, a ww2 german light transport. You can find some renovated and maybe functionnal but they will cost you a pretty penny.
This thing, albeit cool, never took off because its front wheel is practically useless and the whole thind can drive and steer without.

I find it strange that the germans would include that wheel for no reason, doesn't it help stabilize the bike and add suspension?
>>10136
If you're just looking for a bike with a place you can (uncomfortably) sleep and with lots of storage, maybe look into sidecars for normal bikes?

stop spoilering your images dude its fuarrrking annoying.
I assume the main thing the front provides is a pleasantly familiar interface as compared to some sort of tank control system, probably mechanically simpler too for it sounds like the tracks were not individually throttleable.

the forgotten weapons guy did a good breakdown of this vehicle, just watch it if you wanna understand
the front wheel is used at slower speeds, and then there's also a mechanism that does tread braking (like a tank obv) w hydraulics thats integrated into the steering mechanism

"never took off" doesnt feel like a very meaningful thing to say. They saw service in the eastern front as general utility vehicles for towing soykaf around, moving runners and officers around and soykaf
they kept making them after the war as agricultural vehicles for a little while as well, so many of the surviving models were those that were used as tractors basically by farmers

You mean a rickshaw? Those are not that uncommon, so I don't get your question. Unless you want something tacticool instead of functional

im unironically thinking of using a bike to build some sort of five wheeled bike based on this with an electric motor i think, it would be pretty cool even its super goofy
tracks are a massive hinderance and suck ass to work on so if youre building one id consider leaving them off honestly youll get way better km/L and itll be a nicer ride
