Splicing by Audio Cue

I have some long audio files I need to splice in a few hundred places, but I really don't want to waste several days plugging everything into audacity and doing it by hand. Luckily for me, an audio cue plays at the end of every segment I need to splice, kind of like the codec calls from Metal Gear. How would /lain/ recommend automating this process? There's a couple programs I looked at, but none of the ones I found seems to be able to look for an audio cue for splitting, at least not natively. Closest I could find are some scripts that can identify silence in a track and split that, but that's no dice for me, since my audio files have some silent parts I don't want split at. Are there any programs the more audio-centric side of Lainchan uses that allow this sort of thing, and if so, do you have any recommendations? Or is my best option to see what I can scrounge up from the underside of github?

>>869 Depends on what the tone itself sounds like, if it's a single frequency beep or DTMF it might be doable with something off the shelf like tonetool. Do you have an example of this cue tone?

>>869 You can use cross correlation to find the cue by similarity.
