Hey Lains, I just woke up and had a dream about a project I was wondering if it was at all possible to do, the idea is pretty simple enough, getting a Raspberry Pi 3b, a display touch screen, building a case, installing open BCI onto the Pi3 and attaching electrodes to have a compact diy brain wave pattern reader for mental health reasons as I myself have a schizo disorder and would love to track the spicks in brain activity, let me knwo what you all think, thanks.

Worth a try but I doubt that it's so easy. There's probably tons of finetuning involved in order to get a proper reading.
Why the touchscreen?

Oh I also doubt it's that easy but that's dream logic for you, I'd install a touch screen to better interact with the device mainly >>553 well if it's doable then great minds think alike haha

I know a fellow working on a somewhat similar project, and it seems in principal possible to do.
nevertheless, if you're new to electronics I figure youll have a lot to learn. good luck, though, lain ^_^

there's also this:
http://openeeg.sourceforge.net/doc/hw/sceeg/
you can use a sound card if you convert the EEG signal to FM or AM for analog-digital conversion. the pi's sound card is garbage though. op should really just use his pc for this.

sound card can only receive as much analog signals as there is line inputs, it would be a waste of money.
I guess just building your own BCI device from scratch is more economical considering 10-20 systems amount of nodes

The project seems to be stalled, however this website has a plethora of information I found fascinating.
I may try out some of this stuff myself.
